  1. Anyone have any experience with these on the 2IS platform? I haven't had much luck finding a second hand set of FSport shocks/springs for a 2IS 350 so am looking into coilovers Im not looking for a performance upgrade, just a comfortable and compliant ride, i need to replace the rear shocks due to a leak so thought while im at it i may as well gain a small drop in ride height .
  2. Hi Guys, i have a 2011 IS350 Luxury with a leaky rear shock that needs replacing, instead of replacing with a factory item I'm looking to just move to a F Sport setup. I hanyone has upgraded to coilovers and wants to get rid of their standard setup please let me know.
  3. Yep, the rust is normal, its a steel disk it will rust if not used.
  4. Hi guys, im looking to get some headrest monitors for the kids so they have something watch on long trips, what i would really like to do is integrate the factory nav system into the setup so i can control what the kids are watching from the front seat without having to reach over to the back and swap DVD's while im driving. I have a 2011 IS350 with the standard non ML nav meaning i cant play DVD's from it. The easiest way i think would be to get one of the iVic products from vaistech. this would allow me to mirror an android device onto the nav screen and then play any video file i want while on the move has it had an override for that too. But this bring me to my next hurdle, how to i get a video feed from the nav screen to the headrests? I have been told the factory lexus Nav does nto have an AV out and neither does the iVic, im sure the would be a wire somewhere in teh factory loom for video i just need to know which one if is and tap into it, it seems like someone else has had this issue too and come up with a solution as per the below but this was on a ML system so it looks like it is possible as per the vid below.... Has anyone in Aus done this before and do you know which wire i would need for the video feed?
  5. the guy i went to was great, he did all the leg work for me chasing disks and pad as at the time DBA didnt have them in stock, he had trouble finding a suitable performance street pad for me and when i mentioned the price of the stock pad we both agreed spending 2.5 - 3 times the price on a "performance" pad was just not worth it on a car which for me is just a family/daily driver... if i were tracking it then sure spend the extra but i think the standard pads on the is350 work just fine.
  6. i went T2's with the standard updated low dust pad's, i found it too hard to track down a pad locally and i was on the indicators so i needed them right away. i ended up getting the pads for just over $100 and the disks for like $350, Lexus Parra wantd $800 to swap them... i got it all done at a local brake shop for less then $550
  7. Thanks guys. Danny i have tried to call you via the number you have listed on lexmania and left a VM, can you gi ve me a call back?
  8. Hi Guys, im due for front brakes on the IS350 and have been quoted $950 by lexus of chatswood which i think is absolute madness, can anyone tell me what after market options they are using? This is a family car so i dont need a performance pad, something that is the same as OEM spec and low dust would be great. Also are the front rotors machinable? the current front rotors have about 80k on them and there is a decent lip on them, if they are machinable does anyone know what the minimum thickness for the front rotors are before then need replacing? Cheers Vukie
  9. Are those illuminated door sills plug and play? How hard were they to install?

  11. I'm running the same sizes, Rears will fit without any issue. The front will rub on both side on the inner guard liners cabin side. There is a small hump that the tyre will rub on under light braking with the steering wheel in any position but straight. You can either wait for it to rub through or do what I did and get a heat gun, heat up the plastic and the push the offending bit of guard liner in, since doing this mine don't rub at all
  12. seems the 255/40/18 size for the rear is not very common, any issues running a 265/35/18? opens me up to a much wider range of tyres
  13. Hi All, So the standard tyres in the IS350 have come up for replacement, I have been happy with the standard Dunlop SP Sport 2050 but at $450 a corner im looking for something a bit more cost effective, can anyone recommend what they are running? My priorities are a quiet tyre that is comfortable, long lasting and offers adequate grip/performance in that order. Alos I don't like how the 225/40/18 tyre size looks on the front rims, are there any issues running a 235/40/18 on the front on a car at standard height?
  14. How hard is the GFX lip to fit? have always wanted one but looks like a pain to install
