  1. You can start with an intake and then an exhaust or just go the exhaust. There are a lot of choices but it depends on how loud you want it. Some guys here have had great aftermarket gear installed by Lexus Chatswood. Generally a Joe Z cat back exhaust and intake. Depends on your budget and sound/noise taste. Here's a link from here to help. http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/10936-lexus-isf-aftermarket-exhaust/
  2. Is this still available? If so where in NSW are you? Cheers.
  3. I'm close by kind of so I'll try to make the time. Just keep an ear out for me.
  4. Not for me, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde attributes are exactly what attracted me to the ISF Obviously each to their own and I was looking for something a little different therefore a good whack more snarl and grunt was called for! My baby's got it in fistfuls! Back on topic, I was listening to some fairly bass heavy "electronic" music today and I only noticed bass from the door speakers. Rear...might as well have been unplugged. And these tracks I know make any speaker thump. I guess if any, the upside is that I get to listen to the chorus from the engine/exhaust more. And off topic I know, but the other day (Monday or Tuesday) I was coming down Victoria road leading onto Anzac bridge and I saw a blue ISF with personalised plates. Wasn't sure if it was someone from here.Anyhow....was a good day as I saw a few ISF's that day and that's rare.
  5. Well I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've got a 2006 is250 sports lux and it has more bass. Not clarity though, and yes ML, your ISF system is crystal clear. It just has NO bass unless you turn up the volume to a stupid level. If I was an Opera House dwelling fanatic that just happened to decide to purchase a 300+kw sports sedan instead of the GS or LS then I may have appreciated the clarity of your system. But. In the 250 it was 10-12 on the volume range was enough. In the ISF via USB or Aux it is 30+ to get even a decent volume and still the bass is lacking on music that IS bass heavy. And I'm not talking trance/dance etc but some esoteric tracks and the like. I know they have bass from listening to them from my bloody damn expensive home system. Poor effort there ML and Lexus given the $ shelled out. I for one, was very disappointed as I love my music even more than the rumble and roar from that great V8. I'd just like some more oomph from the stereo from a $126k + car. Seriously...First we have to redo the exhaust etc to get it up the the competitors and then the stereo also lacks. Learn Lexus learn. Just glad the RCF at least has a decent set of balls to begin with though the new C63 throws down the gauntlet. But that's another topic.
  6. 11-14....spirited driving 11...lol. I wish. Ok, mines not stock though. I'm getting 22 minimum up to 32 with...some "focused" driving on some windy roads (nothing silly or life endangering to others and certainly off the mainstream roads). I can say though I have seen 14L/100km during sedate city driving, just trickling along. It all depends on that right foot.
  7. 2012 ISF with a few tricks added for fun. Welcome to the family ISF. Loving it.
  8. Well got the cold air intake installed. Glad I did it. Most noticable immediate difference is the sound. With only a small poke on the go peddle it makes a nice deeper sound. Similar to the sound when you previously had to stomp on the go peddle to get anything remotely decent sounding happening. The good thing is that pottering around it makes no noticable difference in sound unlike those annoying crap drain pipe exhausts on buzz box cars that drone away and sound awful. On the driving front, nothing noticable at low revs but once moving and from 3000rpm upwards in 2 and 3rd it comes to life in sound and with a bit more gusto. Not a lot (approx 12-15hp) but for a few hundred bucks installed (and under a local warranty as it was ordered through K&N locally) it does the trick. Have to say above 100km/h it has a good bit more poke especially for evertaking. Took it for a very long drive up north and it was better on the fuel (during the times I wasn't annoying the wife by making it sing) and definately sat a few revs lower at 100-110km/h. Will post some pics when I can be bothered to take the stupid covers off. Even the mechanic cracked it with the different screws, plugs etc holding them in place.
  9. Well I'm curious who has had a new intake installed..I've got one ordered from the US (not ebay stuff) from my mechanic from KN/Rocket. Has anyone dumped one of these into their car? I've read reviews, watched youtube etc about it but obivously doing it for real is very different.
  10. Welcome to the Lexus forums wamsi :)
