Given that you are now a happy customer I think your original post is at the least highly unfair.
You should have spoken to them first before posting up accusations and slandering their business.
I would be editing it if I was you, for your own benefit and that of the forum......not sure of the course of action that could be taken if it is left up.
Especially after you then post it was "a mix up" which can happen.
Maybe next time you could do as tony1234 posted and give the benefit of the doubt.......before firing off.
Or try getting BMW to give you the service Lexus of Chatswood have.
I see your point. But the fact is, this actually happened. It's not like the OP got it wrong. Sure the dealers fixed it up, but it should of never happened in the first place. I'm not sure what you're implying about "course of action" but it negates everything you said about "short changing someone for a few hundred dollars and risk the good reputation that they have" for the sake of one poster who evidentally had a negative experience with a dealer. If the dealer wanted legal recourse over this thread, you and they are obviously "not thinking". It was all cleared up, we are all moving on.
Edit: If however, the OP got it wrong (which can happen too), that's a different story all together.
This is just the cost of running a business, you will have good days and bad days. And lets face it, Chatswood will (obviously) always have a solid fanbase
