  1. Hi, I have a 2008 is250 and have received two recall letters in the past month regarding two different recalls: -One in relation to "the possibility that the fuel pressure sensor to the delivery pipe Could be insufficient due to improper assembly instructions for tightening of the fuel pressure sensor". -the second recall in relation to a front passenger airbag recall -starts early next year due to supply demands overseas. My question is, has anyone had the first recall performed, and would you recommend it being carried out?? Someone told me not to do it, don't know why, But I most likely will have the first recall done ASAP/soon when I have time. Thanks.
  2. Did you work this out? I want to do this Mod also.. Diagram looks confusing ? Anyone know ??
  3. must have got a pos loaner as a current GS350 F sport owner and various other current lexus models inc a brand new RX450h (2016) you are wrong i would make sense if you compared it to a 2008 LS460 but not a 1995 LS 1995 LS is a great car but it its 20 years old lexus generally goes forward in refinement not backwards as for responsiveness what throttle? newer models actually have better throttle input you feel its more reponsive due to the shorter ratios on the older gearbox which makes it seem the car to be revving harder if you want repsonse stick a ISF in sports mode or a RCF in sports + mode thats the best throttle response cars that lexus has right now its not right to make a judgement on a car based on 1 day of loaner car driving i do not like the newer gen Is350 either but u cant deny that its way ahead of the older car Not to go off topic, but I was given a 'pos' loan car. I was given a CAMRY loan car At a Lexus dealership!!,... I love Lexus cars, and driving that Camry made me realise how crappy the interiors of those camrys are,and I've never been in one b4, if you don't know they have cheap plastic everywhere very unattractive silver plastic everywhere, I don't know how people can say Lexus are the same as Toyota when the Lexus interiors are much nicer in every way, I was hoping for a new Lexus loan car, guess I won't be buying a new Lexus at that dealership, I read stories of people getting loaned new f sport models etc and I get a Camry as the loan car! hahahahaha come on Lexus they shouldn't be doing that, Lexus service costs are a premium too, I'd expect at least give a ct200h loan car :) Made me appreciate the Lexus much more when I got it back, and I want to upgrade to a new F Sport IS 200t also, black on black,..almost ready to upgrade :P
  4. Thanks for the response, The lady who hit my car won't be covered by her insurance because she has an expired international licence, and if she did the drivers test here in Australia she would have learned what a 3-point turn is, and learn Not to do a U-Turn from a parking spot and hope not to hit the opposite parked cars.. If only she reversed first before turning (3-point turn), I got a Quote for repair from a local car repair shop which does Lexus vehicles also, the quote was $600, which includes re-alignment of the headlight housing, and front bumper/fenders, and paint/touch up the small several scratches on the wheel arch, luckily there are no deep scratches or dents, the headlight housing has just moved a bit( few cms maybe) because the bumper was gently bumped, the wheel also was knocked in slightly...but I hope the car will look perfect how if did, not with a misaligned headlight housing/fender. The car also still drives fine, I went around the block several times, round abouts and turning into peoples drives and reversing out to test the steering, Hopefully by the end of next week the car will have been fixed, I will keep yous posted and may post pics and the video in the future, with before and after pics too.
  5. Hi, so I have a horrible story to tell.... Yesterday evening the lady across my street was driving her small car, out of her parallel parking spot, when she for some unknown reason does a U-TURN out of her car spot!!, and crashes into the Front Right wheel of my IS 250 :( (it was parked and off, outside my house), I heard a bang sound..from the collision.. It really sucks that this has happened although there some small visible scratches on just the wheel arch, but what concerns me is that when she hit my Rightside drivers wheel , it may have knocked the steering link/alignment.. Because when I started the car (foot on the brake and pushed the start button) the wheel turned quickly about a quarter of a turn ... To the left, when I parked the wheels were forward and straight. I was surprised there are no dents or the bumper wasn't ripped off, there weren't any large scrape marks or deep scratches, there are only several scratches (about 5+cm each and go from the top of the wheel arch to the bottom).. I have not driven the vehicle since, (been 24hours) but tomorrow I am going to give it a run, Just seeing if any of yous have advice, or can give me help its a 2nd Gen IS 250 with the LED DRL headlights, I have surveillance footage of the incident occurring, but the lady will pay for the damages (touch up the paint on the wheel arch??) or IF need be I will go through her Insurance. I want the vehicle to look near new how it did before this happened, do you guys know if the power steering can handle a little knock when off?..she hit the wheel in slightly. Any help is much appreciated, the lady has an expired international drivers licence -(she shouldn't be driving.. If she done the drivers test she would learn what a 3 point turn is and. NOT to do a U-turn from a parking spot.., and if needed I will go through insurance although She can pay out of pocket if the cost is reasonable.. Although it's a lexus..so it won't be cheap. ( I may post the video and some pics in days to come), it just goes to show..how you can drive safe and park outside your house and THIS happens... I highly recommend that you Park in your garage!, and get surveillance cameras!! :) they are worth it. Sorry for the structuring of this post. Thanks for any help or suggestions, I will read them,
