  1. Congrats. I got exactly the same car about a week before you did - white with red interior, pack 1, free tinting. What an awesome car. The power side mirrors were an unexpected bonus, as the U.S. models don't get them. Same with the tri-LED headlights. I love the digital (DAB+) radio with time shift, so you can rewind a song or an interview. The trackpad takes a bit of getting used to, especially for a right-handed person having to operate it with the left hand.It s pretty sluggish in standard or Eco modes, but Sport and Sport+ turn it into an entirely different car, also a very thirsty one. All that weight and a lack of a turbo certainly drinks through the fuel. Around town I only get about 14 litres per 100km, although I got 9.4 on a country drive. Overall build quality is awesome. I haven't found a single defect with fit or finish. The interior is beautifully put together, with a really solid feel. The padding, solid comfy seats, very stiff chassis all combine to make a really nice cockpit. It's so smooth and quiet you really need to pay attention to your speed. Whereabouts in NSW are you? I'm in the inner west of Sydney - I've only seen one other RC350 on the roads and it was a blue one.
  2. Congratulations on your purchase! The dealer should sort out the number plate issue for you. They do this every day. I've ordered my car with a Euro plates as well and my dealer said they suit the car really well.
  3. Mine was 90k OTR - same spec as you mention (a saving of only about 1.7k from OTR quoted full price), and a few hundred dollars off the window tint. Plus corporate service program.I got the impression there was no real movement possible for such a new car, but I didn't try hard (as in walk out the door and wait for the phone call). That's exactly the deal I was offered, but I'm in NSW so it was obviously from a different dealer. I ended up getting the pack 1 instead of pack 2 for $5k less (85k OTR with window tint and service program).
  4. Sorry, but it was sold last week. It was Sydney City Lexus.
  5. the dark rose looks greate. did ur dealer give much discount on ur custom built? 5k extra seems to much for the ep2No, not much discount. I got $1,000 off plus free window tinting (told me it was worth $600) and free servicing for 4 years. wow, thats really not much and asking 5000 on ep2 and with 2014 built car i consider its rip off..... they must sell rc well at least i got this ppint There's a long, and growing, waiting list so they don't need to offer any special discounts. Apparently they have already sold two years worth of their forecast in Japan in the first month.

  7. PS - I just realised I've been referring to Ultra White instead of White Nova. Been reading too many US forums!
  8. TRC, Thank you SO much for taking the trouble to post all those photos. Hopefully they will be of interest to other members as well. They have definitely helped me make up my mind and I will be changing my order to Ultra White with Dark Rose. The dealership actually has one of these on the way, arriving in about one week, but it has the Pack 2 instead of the Pack 1 and is a 2014 build and they want about $5k extra over mt custom build, which will be a 2015 build with Pack 1. The active cruise is the only feature of Pack 2 I would ever use (my current IS250 has it) but I'm not sure it's worth 5k. The extra time waiting for the custom build will also give me time to sell the IS250. Again, congrats on your car. The combo of Titanium with Dark Rose looks amazing!
  9. Hi TRC, Thanks for the info. I have ordered an ultra white RC F-Sport with pack 1 and black interior, but I am seriously thinking of changing to the dark rose interior. Since you have one, what are your thoughts on it? Are you happy with it? It's not too light and gaudy? I still have time to modify my order as the car is on a waiting list and won't be built until March for an April delivery. If you could post a few pictures of the interior, I would be in your debt forever!
  10. The RC F configuration and pricing are now live on the Lexus website.
  11. This appears to be the key to the problem. I tried the procedure this afternoon in my 2010 IS250 and couldn't get it to work at first. But then I tried it again, but this time I made sure that the whole procedure was completed within 10 seconds of closing the door. So, here is what I did to make it work: 1. With engine off, park brake on, but no foot on brake - sit on driver side seat and close door; 2. Press engine START/STOP button twice to enter IGNITION ON mode; 3. Press the Shift Release button above the gear stick and shift the stick into Neutral; 4. Hold the door lock button down for 5 seconds, then release; 5. As long as you commenced holding the door lock button down within 10 seconds of closing the door, the doors should unlock and lock again as soon as you release the door lock button, to indicate that the procedure worked. To reverse the procedure, go through exactly the same steps all over again (it toggles the feature on and off).
  12. Mine is booked in with Sydney City Lexus for mid-January (they said they had been inundated and this was the soonest they could do it), and yes, they said they would provide me with a courtesy car for the day. The recall work should take around 4-5 hours. What year is your model? I have a 07 model do u think it will be recalled as well ? Mine is a 2010 model. The recall applies to vehicles built between Sept 05 and June 10. You can see the notice here: https://www.recalls.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/1064548

  14. Well, I dropped into Sydney City Lexus today and they had a black Sports Luxury (fully loaded, with a driveaway price just over $95k), a white F Sport and a blue F Sport. The blue one was out in the car park area and looked to be the one they use for test drives. The blue didn't do much for me, I'm afraid. It looks beautiful in the showroom but I think the novelty would wear off quickly and to be honest, the RC 350 is not exactly a rocket ship deserving of a muscle car paint job. However, both the black and white models were very impressive. I'd still love to see the titanium and silver models. When I sat inside the F Sport, I was very pleasantly surprised (less so the Sports Luxury, with its fake wood and more conventional dash instrumentation). The build quality and choice of materials are a huge step up from my 2010 IS 250. No comparison, really. I can't wait to take one for a spin. Surprisingly, I wasn't approached by a single salesperson the whole time I was there, although the very nice lady offered me a latte which I drank in the waiting area while I... well, waited. One guy was sitting in his office, obviously attending to something much more important than selling cars. It was probably fortuitous, because I reckon I was 90% of the way to signing on the dotted line if anyone had put the paperwork in front of me. Oh well, I might go back in the new year and try again.
  15. I haven't seen one in the flesh yet, but I'm very tempted to get an F Sport. I just decide on the colour combination. I think I've narrowed it down to Titanium or White Nova with rose or moonstone interior. I initially liked the black, but I don't think it shows off the lines too well, based on the photos I've seen. A bit disappointed you have to pony up for the enhancement pack 2 just to get active cruise, which I have on the IS250 and couldn't live without.
