  1. Lexus batteries have a thermistor embedded in them to monitor the battery temperature during charging. All you have to do is buy a thermistor from any electronic spare parts shop with similar characteristics, mount it on top of the battery and connect it. Make sure that the replacement thermistor has the same value as the existing one at ambient temperature and the resistance varies in the same manner and by the about the same amount as the original. It is also possible to recover the existing thermistor and use it for the replacement battery.
  2. Check for any play in all the suspension bushes. Use a small craw bar to lever gently the various members while watching for excessive wear and play. Check for any play in the wheel bearings. Eliminate by replacing the respective pair [ both front and both rear ] My advise is not to interfere with the manufacturer's design until you solve the problem. If you do, you will introduce another variable and things will get very complicated and cost you a lot of money in steering geometry adjustments. These cars have exceptional road holding and drive straight for long distances. Try turning the steering fully to the right and then fully to the left and then drive for a short distance with the steering wheel straight in the straight ahead position. This applies to the GS 450H model when the car pulls to one side. For sharper steering response and better road holding, inflate the tires to the highest speed specified by Lexus. I do hope this is of help to you. Kindest regards, Chris.
  3. Hello everybody, I am new to this club, I am a qualified electrical engineer with a lifetime experience in repairing my own cars. I can do a full engine overhaul strictly to the manufacturers specifications. All my knowledge and experience is available to everybody and I will be more than happy to help anybody in any way I can. I would like to buy the Repair manual for my car which I have seen advertised on Ebay Australia. This is the Lexus GS 450H repair manual on a CD, it covers the models produced from 2006 up to and including 2011 and it is sold by " voyagerfusion ". The problem is that this seller does not post outside Australia. Can anybody suggest a way of contacting this seller, or another, so I can beg him to send this CD to me? Or does anybody know another seller who will post this item to me in Europe? I will pay all his expenses! Kindest regards, Chris.
