  1. They said they had to disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes and then some stuff through OBD.
  2. Today Melb City did a full reset on the electronics, including resetting the gearbox into learning mode (like driving it out for the first time). The drive back home, I got 10.1L/100. First time ever saw this go under 13 haha. So Im guessing it needed a reset. Will monitor over the next few days but this looks promising.
  3. Service lad try telling me its normal again and that it takes a few months for the consumption to reset... took me for a fool here, I've been testing by resetting it. Anyway I'm going past to get it plugged in for a diagnostic tomorrow, this will only show if there's any electrical issues though.
  4. Ok thanks....I'm definitely taking it up with them tomorrow. Its Melb city Lexus, they've held a good rep from what I can tell so far, lets see what they say/do about it. I've had a few performance cars too and none have consumed this much. Even when I had one tuned on 107 octane ethanol only, it didn't daily this high. They better fix this now.
  5. When it got serviced in June, Lexus said that it was normal for a 350 F to consume around that figure.... its a 2011 model and doesnt have the stop/start fuel saver thing. Anyone else with a 2010-2012 model who can confirm the consumption? I haven't taken it back to them yet, first waiting on some answers here to know if its unusual. EDIT: Reading some articles on the net it should be around 10L/100...I'm calling them on Monday, definitely not right.
  6. I decided to do some more testing...I reset it a few times on a few trips....best I got was 13.4, and that's being extremely light on the pedal, as in slower than a pensioner.
  7. Used the old sp sport tyres....was great, but can't get those anymore. Used new sport maxx RT tyres...rubbish, sidewalls are made of marshmallows 2 cents dropped
  8. Does 16-18 L/100 sound about right for the trip avg displayed on the dash when daily driving around the inner suburbs/city? ...no sport mode, just normal get from A to B. I know the 350 F is meant to consume fuel but that seems a bit high :-/ Just wondering if there's anything that could be causing the high consumption... I can get the dealer to check now while its under stat warranty. Car has 57k on the clock.
  9. Can't comment about anything Lexus specific as I'm still new to the brand...but 30000 on rotors does sound a bit low
  10. Do you guys run the different tyre pressures front and rear? Or just even all over...wondering what worked best 20 kpa variation according to the door sticker
  11. Shoes fitted....AD08R semi slick goodness. Immediately changed the handling/feel of the car with ridiculous amounts of grip and response, these are by far the best performance tyres money can buy imo. :)
  12. I can't find the two long sharp pins...are they meant to be in the pouch which also has your tyre iron and tow hook? Edit: found them...they're well hidden in that pouch

Anyone has a guide on how to change the Map DVD in the 2011 350F....I've got a V20 dvd, do I just pop it into the dvd player and go in the update menu or is there a hidden reader somewhere(I'm a bit confused on the process after reading the USA stuff and a very old map update thread on this forum)
  14. That's true... PSS is around 400 a corner for the 255/18s on the 350Fs though....900 for all 4s 225 is a pretty good score mate. personal choice for me though I'd still rather have the better tyre anyway as it is just another level of performance like ILV mentioned above :)

Price wise - Yokohama is having a Buy 3 get 1 free deal beginning 1st of July (hush hush don't tell anyone haha), so right now they are a winner...AD08Rs are usually very expensive so grab them while you can...its the only time you won't have to fork out the big bucks for them. I ended up ordering the Yokos as the PSS are not even close to the Yokos after some research. (they melt at the track and after being heat cycled, but ok for the street driver, treadwear rating of 300...I'd go P Zeros even anyday before PSS) I've used the Yokos on my Subaru STi and there is nothing else that is quite like it, except R-Comp tyres of course. They daily fine and you can wear them down to the belt and they'll still grip, you get 40000km on them easily street driving with a couple of track days a year. Some have had 60,000km down to the belt and still grips like mad wet or dry. Once you go semis you never go back, then once you go AD08Rs you never go anything else ;) The yokos would usually be around 450-500 a tyre on the rear but right now I'm getting all 4 for 1k... I can let you guys know which bobjane to go to for the good prices, after calling a few, it was clear that some rip you off and some actually work on smaller margins/more turnover :), pm me, not sure if I'm allowed to post which one to go to on here :-/ ...forum noob Vaku, did you try the top of the range P Zero's or the P Zero Rosso/Nero

  18. I'm shopping for tyres for my 350F as the dealer supplied tyres were Nankang noble sports and they are rubbish. They're not allowed to sell with a used tyre, so cheap china is the usual practice as they have to make money somewhere anyway. Can't decide between either: - Pirelli P Zero - Bridgestone R003 - Yokohama AD08R - Michelin Pilot Super Sports I'm thinking going the AD08R as they're just an amazing tyre, irrespective of whether tracked or not...but wanted to know what the r003s or the PSS were like. The T-mart been advising to stay away from P-Zero ...according to them, its an old tyre and wears quickly after the initial wear in (truth as that is really a typical Pirelli characteristic) I don't think anything compares to the AD08Rs though... also not many options out there with the 255/40 rears. Thoughts? These Nankangs are super scary as soon as its wet and they don't track well on the motorways. Dry is only just ok like any other base grade tyre.
