  1. Ok this is quite a topic and i beleive it could be a fault in the throttle body. If you youtube is200 throttle body there is an explination on how it works its really weird and doesnt make sense the first time you look lol Its a combination of electric drive by wire and a mechanical cable drive. Next time your by car get someone to press pedal and watch the throttle body. It wont move. And then do same thing with ign on or running and it works. They do it like this to help with warming up the car amongst other things
  2. Yes amplifiers are better for speaker output! the reason people bypass factory amp is because the aftermarket headunit has an in built amp you will also find sound quality to be on the not so great side as the speakers ohm rating is not suited foraftermarket headunit. Recommend new speakers be install too
  3. The headunit obviously is used to keep it on if you have a test light or dmm test what your getting at gps with radio plugged in and then compare with radio not plugged in
  4. Yep 99-2005 is gen 1 and all will fit. Just note if you had headlight washers they would be obselete with a new aftermarket kit
  5. Hey mate gumtree or ebay will be best bets unless you want brand new there are lots of aftermarket ones overseas aswell
  6. Ok depends what you mean by outputs. Could be reverse cam, amplifier rca , video output etc park brake cable is designed to by spliced into hand brake switch. It's there so that headunit won't play videos until handbrake is up. A lot of people just simply earth it so it works all the time
  7. Has anyone else wrapped "a" pillars in their is? My car had ciggerette burns from old owner i ripped carpet off and did carbon fibre wrap. Turned out really well sorry about bad pics lol I will get some in better lighting
  8. When replacing these headunits you need to bypass factory amplifier. Depending on your wiring knowledge you can do this yourself or just buy a premade loom to plug n play. Now once this is done your headunit will now work with the speakers but the factory speakers will sound bad with new headunit because they are a different ohms rating. Best to buy new speakers too if you want great results :)
