  1. I will think very seriously about this. It all depends if i can find $650 in the next month.... :( Car's going on dyno sometime this week.. Corey
  2. Hmmm - i seem to think all these 'super' altezza's are silver metallic ;) There maybe something in this..... :D ..... or maybe the RS200z are slightly higher geared...... :) Corey
  3. Who says you can't hit the speed limit (180 km/h) in 3rd gear? I've done it while out passing an evo 3. Wondered why the car lost power, then looked down and was pulling 180 just on the redline. Altezza's should do 240 km, if specs are anything to go by. Read it on a website somewhere. Had mine up to 216 km/h on the speed meter, which gets rid of speed cut. Corey
  4. Dual vvt-i on the tezza. This means that both the intake and exhaust cams are varible, to opimise air flow thru the valve train. (Varible valve timing with intellegence) Vvtl-i is varible valve timing with lift and intellegence. This has varible timing on the intake ( i think) and the cams have extra lift over about 5500 rpm. I'm not sure how v-tec works :( Corey
  5. Hey guys, Power FC is in now, and wow, wot a difference! Car reacts alot better to small accelerator movements from idle - more pickup. It also sounds awesome when idling now, got the whole "lumpy cam" thing going. I havn't taken it for a decent drive yet, but i know its using alot of fuel with the bigger injectors - no problem with running out of fuel now.. :D I was surprised how well it was tuned, from Japan, to run the car. It even fired up and ran first time after being installed, which was really good. All i need now is some decent petrol to run it on. It's also good to know i don't need the oxygen sensor anymore, so if you know anybody that wants, or needs 1.. give me a call. I also have a manual ECU, a tiptronic auto ECU and a GReddy FCU piggyback computer.. + lots of engine bits. When i get the $$$, it will be going down to Columbus Car Clinic ( in chch) to be tuned properly on their laptop. Its going to cost about $500 for the whole day on the dyno. Corey
  6. Happy birthday Diane. Have a great nite :D Corey
  7. sorry, thats just what i was told by the guys who re-built my engine :( May not be rite. As you say, they probably are just cast, just they look alot different to the pistons that went back into my engine. ( mr-2 turbo pistons) Corey
  8. Hey guys, I received my ApexĂ Power FC today, along with the hand controller and extension cable for the hand controller. It is going to be installed next Thursday, along with the wiring in the loom being 'tidied up' and the GReddy FCU being removed I have just been having a look at the manual, and it looks like the ignition, vt intake, and vt exhaust are all adjustable independently which should be good for tuning. Got bigger injectors to go in aswell, 440cc should supply enough fuel for 10 psi boost I'll keep you guys updated with how it goes. Corey
  9. From what i can tell from the power fc manual I got today, the injectors are 340cc. Sounds about right. :) Corey
  10. Yea, i'm kinda working thru the same problem at the moment, havn't come up with any solutions tho. Off the topic - Lawrence - my power fc with hand controller and extension cable turned up today :) It's going in next Thursday to be fitted and the loom to be wired "back to standard" and the FCU to be taken out. Then it will be going for tuning. Corey
  11. Yea, i would like to know the definate answer to this question aswell. I have 8 standard fuel injectors for sale because i have just got a set of 440's, which i hope will be big enough ;) All i need to know now, is whether the fuel pump is up to the task Corey
  12. I've been down to night drags once best was 13.7 @176kmph, also ran 14 twice, had alot of trouble with wheel spin 1st and 2nd gear, possible better time with decent tyres and LSD,ran with 18" rims on 280t is an altezza 280T Toms edition with 3s-gte engine, around 280hp, hence the name. No wonder its quicker ;) My car should be that, if not more, when the new computer goes in and gets tuned properly. Corey
  13. Unoffically, with my pivot speed meter, I got a 14.5 standing 400m. That was only the second time trying, so I think its a bit quicker than that. Mite take it out to Ruapuna 1 day and see what I can get ;) Corey
