Hi, I have just bought my first used Lexus RX350 and I have a small problem that someone may be able to help with. The front passenger seat is missing the knob for the power seat movement forward, backwards, up and down. I don't know if I need to order just the knob (part number LX-8492153020B3) which is available as a separate part number, or also the switch (part number LX-8492260120) as well. I have attached a photo of the switch protruding through the side of the seat and it looks undamaged but, I cannot compare it to the other side as I am concerned if I were to try and remove the knob on the drivers side, I might break it. I have checked the operation of the switch and the switch is fine. Can anyone confirm the posts are normal and not missing anything, allowing me to simply buy the knob for $60 from my Lexus dealers parts department and push it on ? p.s I too had the loose rear view mirror and fixed it with the help of this forum. Thanks in advance.
Hi All, Just touched up my ‘alpine’ coloured leather seats as I had some wear marks on the driver’s’ bolsters. I used parts of the ‘Leatherique’ process and was very happy with the colour match they achieved ... I actually took my car to them (Warriewood, Northern Beaches, Sydney). To do the job properly I should have removed all the original paint on the seat and then applied the new paint, however this would have been a much bigger job than what I wanted, as I was just planning on ‘touching up’. I have attached some before and after shots (the first 4), coupled with a couple of other photos. It is worth pointing out that the driver’s bolsters were not as worn as the photos show after using the prepping agent, however it still provides an indication of what can be achieved. I used the ‘Wet Wipe’ method with the seats insitu, which was very simple and easy to use. Cost was less than $200 for all the materials plus your time. Matthew
Hi All, Newbie here and I just bought a 2013 IS300h F sport. It has a sweet cream leather interior that I would like to protect on occasion. I've tried searching the internet and ebay and this forum but all seem to link to generic covers. I had a 2001 IS300 for ten years and see myself having this car long term. Can you guys share any experiences? It's a shame to cover up such a beautiful interior, but also worse to let it get damaged. I remember seeing some car seat covers that were almost like a second leather skin, they fit directly over the seat but still leave you with a great look. I dont remember if that was for my Lexus or a VW Multivan I had. Also happy to be pointed to a pre-existing thread. I did search but couldnt find one. Also - are there other Lexus models with the same seats? They might be easier to find under another model.
