Ls400 1991 Electric Window Problem

Put the window down to get out of a parking station and low and behold it would not go back up. This was on Friday 19/4 at 3.00pm. Drove into the Lexus service area in Sydney and they said $780 to supply and fit a new one. But wait for it - 3-4 weeks delivery time from Japan. Yeah right, 3-4 weeks on street parking parking in Sydney in April/May, you have to be kidding. No deal, but then I haven't used these robbers for years for exactly the same reason. Contacted a Japanese spare parts dealer in the western suburbs who supplied and fitted a completely reconditioned regulator unit for $320 on Saturday 20/4 and I was on my way in foul weather within one hour - no wonder I don't use Lexus.
