Hi, just picked this bad boy up. Manual tezza. Pretty much 100% OEM but not for long. Needs more turbo lol. Looking forward to consulting the brains trust. Question #1 Has anyone heard of the titanium exhaust valves letting go on these? I'm being fed horror stories by a toyota head specialist, but not sure if he's bs-ing me or not. -

Anyone heard of or experienced catastrophic failure of the titanium exhaust valves? I'm just trying to price out a 100k service, and this one guy (a head specialist, of course lol) wants to put stainless valves in, says its not if but when they let go. $2500 job. Is he having a lend? -

Throttle body. To clean or not?
Agreed and do not push the throttle body butterfly at all costs doing so breaks the fly by wire and you will need a brand new throttle body. I learned the hard way so you don't have to, save yourself the stress and money. Regards. -
