Hi,

I purchased a new NX350hAWD last week (Aug 2024 build).  It is a very nice-looking car in the Khaki Metal and Solis white interior.  I'm very happy with the appointments, but sadly that's where it ends.  When you do a test drive you sit in it briefly with the dealer and then drive around the block.  What I have found is that on a longer drive it is putting my back into spasm.  My back is not in good condition, and I cannot have any pressure points in the seat back.  Unfortunately, there appears to be no way to flatten the seat back?  Even with everything wound off there are still pressure points.  The second problem is the well documented acute angle of the head restraints.  We, as humans, come in all different shapes and sizes.  That is the reason that manufacturers make things adjustable.  The locked head restraints at an acute angle means that no matter how I adjust my seat, the head restraint is pushing my head forward.  The web is full of suggestions, most suggesting ways to bend the two restraint posts, and the dealer advised that he has seen other owners turn the head restraint around.  Presently mine is in the boot, which is not ideal.  With regards to the seat back (on a car with 43km on the clock) the dealer suggested that I get a seat cover and cushions.  After spending just short of 100k for the car I had hoped for a better response (but maybe I'm dreaming?)

I also purchased a new Toyota (same manufacturer - different spelling) C-HR Koba last month for my wife.  The seat is fully adjustable and doesn't have the head restraint issue and is a delight to drive.

Appreciate any thoughts/suggestion/ideas that are out there?

Kind regards Mark
