I own a IS200, which is a great car EXCEPT, it is too under-powered. Does anyone out there know if they can be turbo'd, and if so, are there after market conversion kits on the market? If this is possible, would the auto stand up to the extra power. A rough estimate on cost would be handy also. Many thanks to anyone that can help out. Graeme-W.A.

There were a couple of people with posts on the uk lexus owners club that had detailed their turbo installs onto the IS200 on the forum... have a look there. Seemed to work ok but was pretty complex and took a while.

C-Red (http://www.c-red.com.au/) have a front cut from a SXE10R (JDM Altezza) which has the 3SGE engine in it, thats probably the best way to start off modifying, since you'll have a solid platform to perform more modifications in the future. However the engine Jeff has at C-Red is for the 6spd Manual, but I'm sure he or you could locate an Auto.

i think that www.fast4s.co.nz in auckland have a couple of turbo'd altezzas in stock... they did when i was there a couple of weeks back - they were aftermarket conversions.
