Cd Player Error 4!

hey

ive had this problem for ages

i have a '03 Lexus RX330 Sport Luxury (nav, rear cam, mark levison system)

when i press the CD button it says Error 4 on the read out

i have 6 CD's loaded in there, and if i try ejecting it goes back to the radio

when it went for servicing recently they said i had to pay over 600$ to replace it

but i thought there would be a solution or something

and i trading soon for a IS250

any help is appricated

ps. i tried the thing where i turn off the CD unit, turn off the engine, hold the power button for teh CS player and turn the engine on

it doesnt work.... :(

ive also heard something bout some fuse thing
