  1. yeh been wondering that too. i think only u can see your warnings.. it probably is given by the admin or moderators if you been bad

Well, I've got 0%.....so I've been good. Have you been bad? :P

  2. ok my friends car (also a is200) was very dirty at one stage, and a friend for fun drew a smiley face into it. he's washed the car since and the smiley face is kinda still there, only visible in the sun, but still there nonethelss

probably somethin to do with the dirt/dust scratchin it in or something

are there any solutions to this?

    Use Meguiar's Scratch X.

  3. Now I gotta point out, forking out $800 was steep, but reasonble since its lexus. Least they could do was give it back decent or even take it to a car wash for $20 bucks !! or ven put the dam wash on the invoice !!!Their excuse...?? water restriction.

I get mine serviced at Sydney City....gets washed each time. Apparently, they offer free washes (without a service)..just need to book in advance.

Haven't used the service.....prefer to wash it myself :P

On the topic of loan cars......a couple of years back, I took the IS in to have the wheels replaced. Since it wasn't officially booked in, the ONLY loan car left was a Camry Vienta!

It was a warmish day....drove to Chatwoods and on the way back to Lexus, it overheated! So the return trip from Chatwoods to the dealer was via a flatbed tow truck ;)

  4. hey stephen..

can you gimme the width (incl. the mounting bracket).. i just wanna know how far it sticks out from the floor.  yeh yours would most likely be type abe.

    tnx

The one I have is from Exelgard Fire Protection...it labelled as a B(E) type.

Anyway, have attached a photo for you...it sits about 8.5 - 9 cm (incl bracket).

Not a very clear shot as I just took it in the garage....not much lighting.

  5. Hi Guys

Just had a thort. Do you think that t would be a good idea to start up a list of borrowable parts. What brings this up is i've just ordered some brake pads thru 0800 race brakes and it has cost me a extra $60 because they have to buy in backing plates because i don't want to take my car off the road for a week. I would be only to happy to lend mine to someone in the near future. I've also seen some offering to lend out a flywheel for someone to take a pattern off.

Sorry, how does the backing plate relate to having the car off the road for a week? ;)

Or have I missed the point?

  6. as we all learnt from first hand experience in last nights KK run.  Never ever insert another key (with a transponder signature) or another object for that fact in the key chamber of your altezza.  You can expect with certainty that afterwards, the proper key will not turn within the chamber - hence your car will need to be towed.

and if you do decide to do this, don't do it in near freezing temperatures so you all are not standing in the open air for nearly 3 hours  :D

I understand the "waiting" business now  Who was the unlucky one?
