Thanks for the advise, The fan operation is not electric it runs on fluid thru a pump system thru a housing in the front of the motor with its own resavoir with a solenoid & relief valve, so far we have eliminated the computor but have found that the solenoid has 12 volts going into it & should have 5 comming out but is showing only 1 volt output, hopefully withj more testing we can find if this is the problem.

Have LS400 celsior, I had a new cam belt fitted ran ok for a couple of days then the fan switched on continualy running wont shut down to an idle can you help

My cooling fan has decided to run all the time

It is the fliud drive (coupling ) type. Has a pump and seperate resovior etc. with a large fan driven by a hydraulic motor.

Toyota don't know the answer only say "with soleniod disconnected fan stopped. Could be solenoid, ECU, Temp switch or wiring."

Has anyone any suggestions.

As a new owner of an 89 celsior i'm finding it hard to figure how everything in the car works. I would be very appreciative if somebody could point out where to buy or download a copy of the owners manual. If not can anybody tell me what the button on the dash with japanese writing does and the button on the back of the centre console below the vents in the back also with japanese writing does? Thanks for any help.

The one on the dash changes the radio to the Japanese road condition frequency channel.
