  1. '92 Lexus ES300 with genuine 102000k's. Full log book history, timing belt etc changed Nov'07, new brakes all round, new radiator, new drive shaft boots, leather interior unmarked, paint also unmarked. Registered in NSW till 7/08.

Hi i have seen and repaired the problem with the high pitched squeal noise.. it is a relay that is dying located in the master cylinder(the electrical side) most dealerships have been made aware of these... they also have the information on how to repair.. i believe the cost of a new master clyinder was 2k> The parts can be had for less than $10 and then the labour much cheaper option.     I have a 1994 Aristo / GS300 and it does the same thing. It sounds like the noise comes from within the brake booster, and it happens when the booster motor shuts off after priming the system. So every few presses of the brake pedal, this noise comes, I also describe it as a 'dying bird' noise!

    Is this fix something I can take care of myself?

    I also enquired about this problem and was advised to take it to a brake specialist and get the ABS blead
