Hi LEX51S : Here are the pics, they have been posted in the IS250 forum before.
The brakes are great, they change the feel of the pedal mostly and more initial bite. I did the upgrade mostly for looks though :P
My rims are 19" 360Forged Straight 5ive.
Please help me sell my stock brakes, mate. :)

Hi, I have a set of the brakes that I do not use anymore since I upgraded to a full IS-F brakes. The set was used less than 20K km before the upgrade, still in good condition.
This includes everything from pads, rotors and calipers. It is good to have if you plan to keep your IS250 for some time and you can keep the set as a backup and replacement when yours wear down.
I am selling the whole kit for a good price, please PM me if you are interested.
I am located in Perth, prefer local buyer but willing to ship if buyer arranges own freight.

I thought that the Australian 2IS doesn't come with full sized spares, hence the straight sway bar should fit?

Yeah, lets face it, CL is still the "mods bible". I think we all started our research there.
Have you found a way around the crazy freight prices from the US. I too would dearly love to get my hands on coilovers. I am torn between the tanabe and the Teins. (& I guess the 2k plus price tag that goes with it!!) Did u opt for the elect damper control aswell with the Tanabes??
Sooo, again, if anyone has a mad hook up, let us all know!! ;) (or atleast me)!!!

Mate, have u tried asking L-Tuned parts for a quote to have a set sent to u? I bought a lot of things in one go last time so my shipping quote won't apply to u. As far as I know, buying more stuff in one shipping is cheaper than one by one. I reckon, if u find 2 more people to buy a set of coilover each and have them sent together, u can share the shipping and import duty etc and end up cheaper than buying yourself.
I was torn between the 2 brands too, I'll share my research with everyone here :
1. Tanabe can go lower
2. Tein has stiffer spring rates front and rear, people said that on softest setting, it's still stiffer than standard suspension. It's not something I really want for a street setup.
3. As I remembered, Tanabe was cheaper which is a + point, considering that point 1 & 2 already won me over.
By 'Elect Damper Control', u meant the TEAS unit? The one additional device to control damper setting from inside the car? If that's what u meant, no I didn't get it.

The tyres rub a little occasionally. The fender liner has a bad design, it's not 'lowering friendly'. It usually rubs where the bolt holding the sides of the bumper is, nothing dangerous really. No pain no gain, right :P
If it bugs me enough, I can have a panel shop relocate the bolt closer to the headlights and heat gun the plastic liner a little.
Coilover is the way to go, really. The springs and shocks are designed to work together and it's height adjustable and handling is significantly improved.

Hi All,
Not sure if your aware but SBS will be showing the Top Gear episode featuring the ISF next Monday at 7.30pm. I'm definitely looking forward to see it rather than seeing it on fuzzy Youtube.
Downloaded and watched it a few weeks back. They compare it to the M3 sedan. I won't spoil it for anyone but will be keen to hear everyone's thoughts after they've seen it.

Here's mine, will take better ones later ;)
Front : 19 x 8.5 (offset used to be +32 but since I had to replace the stock hubs with IS-F ones, they push the wheels out by around 1/2 an inch each side)
Rear : 19 x 9.5 (offset +25)
Tyres are Toyo T1R :
235/35/19 and 255/35/19

Hi, all! I can definitely recommend the Tanabe Sustec Coilover.
The build quality is good and it is designed for the streets rather than a full-on track ready type, that doesn't mean you can't use it on a track. It has 12 settings, 1 being the softest and 12 firmest. I tried it on setting 1 before and it rode softer than standard. I never liked a car with limousine type of suspension, so, at the moment it's set at 6.
It's very hard to show the drop on coilovers since they can be adjusted, obviously. I can probably relate to the max drop u can get with this. If u look at my car's pics, the rears are set to the lowest possible. With a 35 series tyre, it tucks in at almost 1/2 the tyre top. The fronts, on the other hand, has no gap whatsoever and I can probably lower it another 1/2 an inch.
I believe most of us frequent clublexus. Sewell Lexus and L-Tuned parts are authorized vendors there. Most of my mods are sourced from them, they are trustworthy and would buy from them again.

Thx for the warm welcome, guys, I keep hoping that our oz-based Lexus community will get bigger.
The brakes are actually pretty new, had them for around 2 months now. I sourced them from Sewell Lexus in the States. I purchased them the 1st time they were introduced to the public there, there was a pretty long wait time since Brembo was busy making them for IS-F rather than selling them as parts. I was lucky, I got them when our money was still high and Lexus had not jacked up the prices like now. I wouldn't recommend getting them though, the shipping cost was crazy, the whole kit was very heavy.

Hi Guys, I bought the Sport pedals from Sewell sometime ago and there was no problem with fitment, it does not matter whether it is LHD or RHD, pedal configuration is the same. The only option would be whether it is for a manual or auto. Hope that helps!

That would be interesting but I just bought a set of illuminated sill plates and was trying to fit it in just now, however, I can't get it light up! Does anyone know why? I have the lights switched to auto-on when doors ajar and have the sill plates both white connectors connected. I'm having the X edition so that's 2007 prestige model.
Hi maehara. I believe that no Australian version of the IS comes with illuminated sill plate, the connectors are "dead". What I did was bring it to a car audio shop and they spliced wires straight from the door illumination light on the lower part of the door. That way, the sill plates will come on just like you wanted. It only took the shop 10 mins to get it done. Hope it was of some help to u :)
