I had a major car accident last week and my car is a write off, I am in alot of pain but thank god I am alive. I hope u guys enjoy ur rides and please drive safely.

Spotted a hotted up Lexus IS200 in the St Johns Park/Bonnyrigg (Sydney) Area, I see him every morning. And guess what colour it is?? ORANGEEEEEEEEE, METALLIC ORANGE!! It sorta ruins the "Luxury & Prestige " image. Its nice for a young hoon I guess lol.

could some one please recommend some places that do a good job on paint restoration ??

Hey Guys.. I had my IS repainted recently because it was looking a lil dull... United Body Work @ Prestons did it for me. He purchased the paint from Lexus and did it all for me. IT LOOKS STUNNING...Gorjuz Metallic Blue. If you want his details, let me know. Ofcourse every car would be different $$, so you may need to call him for a quote. I get my car executive hand washed n polished every weekend to keep it in showroom condition.

Now thats my 5cents worth lol Back 2 work.... :)

Ok, so I'm a bit new to this.

Have just purchased a Gold 2005 IS200. I love it. It's my baby ;)

HOWEVER, I need a bit of help (cos I'm a girl).

I'm planning on making a few modifications to it.

So if anyone knows of anything that might help me or can make any suggestions, that would be super.

I'm plannin on keeping it simple and classy. Pretty much I would just like to jazz it up with some new rims, tint the windows [darker than legal], lower it, new stereo etc and yeah anything else???

So yes, if you could help me out with any contacts or just help a girl out, that would be awesome.

Haha shadow chrome rims...Yes :) Does she have personalised plates?

Don't get a chance to see, she's always flying past the other way.

Haha Do you see her mainly on weekends or late evenings?

I go Parramatta way during the weekend when i do some shopping or evenings when I go to the gym :)

Oh all that stuff is too much work for me LOL :P

I just get it detailed and cleaned every 6months and it looks spotless... I sit back and drink my coffee or go shopping and let other people do the work lol. Its abit more expensive but its worth it.

I am planning on lowering my car but only from the back as the front is already perfect to suit my new rims.

Any ideas where to get it done in Sydney and approx how much i am looking at? If any of you guys do them in Sydney, let me know.

Beware though, I had Bendix ultimates on my other car, even though the pads produced less dust they ate into the rotor.

I'm assuming it's the hard compound in the pads themselves.

I'm not sure about the IS250, but the pads might be of soft compound material. I rather replace pads than rotors. Unless you want to upgrade to something to DBA or slotted types.

Im with you on that one jomster!!! Although I do think that there might be a slightly better compromise then we currently have on as standard!!

Hmm sio are bendix bad for the IS200? I got my back brake pads changed and the guy recommended Bendix. Hmmm I wouldnt have a clue as i dont know much about cars.

I have the OEM rear parking sensors and it appears everytime when it rains or if the weather is really cold the sensors go off even when there's nothing behind the car.

When the weather does warm up (ie: midday) the sensors work fine.

Just wondering if anyone experiences this or is it just the way they are or is it a 'standard' Lexus thing??

This is my first car with rear parking sensors. My other car doesn't have sensors so I can't really compare.

I also got rear parking sensors but i dont experience that problem.... I wouldnt be able to tell ya what the problem is, i have no clue bout cars...lol sowi :P
