  1. Hi Guys,

I have F-sport springs installed on my car about a month ago but my wife is the daily driver for that car and she couldn't cope with the stiffness and bumpy ride, therefore I'm thinking to reverse it back to stock springs. But I have some ideas and what you guys comments:

    1. Is sport luxury model has the same springs as prestige model, i.e. spring rate, overall height etc, as I've upgraded to 18" and I think the wheel arch gap is larger than the stock 18" wheels on sport luxury model?

    2. Anyone with spare sport luxury springs and thinking to get rid of?

    3. Anyone interested on my set of F-sport springs? Only about a month old and of cos will be discounted for sale.

    4. Or alternatively, anyone have others aftermarket springs installed on your car and can recommend to me?

    5. I've been reading a lot about coilovers, but aware that it is stiffer and harsh over stock, but would setting damper on softest close to stock ride feel? Anyone in Sydney with coilovers setup and don't mind letting me come and ride in their cars to have a feel please let me know.

Please chip in your ideas as much as you can to help me settle for a conclusion. I just want to find a "fix-all" solution once and for all. I just want to find a cheapest solution for this. Big Thanks in advance.

  2. Which mechanic did you go too. When they cant find a problem mechanics love to blame!!

Also. Where did you ship the springs from. I dont think it has anything to do with the install if you have had two experience people install them twice and you still have a problem!!!

Instead of the head ache and ruber bands. Lol. Why dont you consult the person that sold you dodgy springs.

Lol @ rubber bands and tape.

Yea, mechanics love to blame but i don't think he did this time as I was there watching every moves his made. I got those springs from Lexus North Miami. Would they sell dodgy springs??

Rubber bands bit... yea.... when you are deparate... haha....

  3. so the installing wasnt the problem?

did you get the revised springs???

i thought they were the new revised springs

Hey mate, actually I think the tools we used when installing weren't good enough for the job? The mechanics checked most of the bolts near the top end of the shocks were loose. One of the shaft in the front shock was partially damaged and threads were worn out because it wasn't slotted in correctly. He said almost needed a replacement. He took 2-3 hours to fix it up for me so that I don't have to replace the shock. The noises were reduced and less rattling from the connections.

After all suspensions were taken out and reinstalled, the noise is still there. I figured out the rest of the noises are coming from the springs hitting each other when going over humps. I placed some rubberbands and taped it around the springs, that gets rid of the noises. But not for long, the compression was too much for the tapes and its coming off. I need to figure out another way to fix it now. Just bought some water host hoping to slip it over? Headache now.....

  4. I had those springs taken out and reinstalled in a local mechanics, noise still there but at last I know is not loose nuts and bolts etc. Somehow I believe is the springs metal contact when going over humps etc, so I taped rubberbands in electrical tape between spring coils and to my surprise most noises seems to have disappeared? I think I need springs silencer rubbers. not sure but will try driving out more and verify my statement.

  5. Hi Guys, Just wanted to know if anyone is interested to buy a set of 16" OEM wheels with Pirelli P7 tyres. I've have done about 5000Ks only. Still plenty to go. Each tyre costed me $300 each. Please be fair when offering. PM me please.

When - Will be sometimes this month after I changed the wheels.

Reason - Upgrade to bigger wheels soon.

By the way, anyone can recommend good places for new wheels, and not too expansive? Thanks guys.

  6. Hi guys,

I'm new to this. Please give me some comments. I'm thinking to upgrade from my oem 16" to 17" or 18". But I was told that 17" is probably better because its more comfortable and looks nicer without lowering. 18" only looks nice when lowered. Is that true? Anyone can post some photos for me and drop a line or two? My body is black and thinking of a silver rim.

    Thanks guys.
