Below is the PDF doc show what they need to do........
-
Here is the youtube.
I can hear a loud rev-like grinding sound is that it?
hahah, it is correct mate
-
Can you describe abit more on the sound? Rattling (like loose knifes and forks in a bag) or gear growling (like there is no oil)?
sounds like second.........
-
Hi, All
My car was service last month and talk with dealer about the cold start rattle sound, not all times but it happened someday, maybe just 1 second only and then back to normal. I was think this is just normal when the weather turn to cold but it's not. After inspection they told me there is fault cam gear due to the design problem and will cover by warranty repair.
Dropped off another day and they fix it: change the parts and everything is OK now. 6 hours jobs so not a cheap job. After that I search the web I think this job is link to Lexus TSIB EG017-07.
I also ask dealer about the other engines with same problem and looked like 3.5V6 has same issue. I know some RX350 owner have same problem and fix by dealer.
OK below is the most important thing:
This is not a recall so Lexus will not fix it if you don't ask them. If you have same issue, record the sound and show the service man. The costing to fix it after the warranty will be around 3K.

when I watch the photos...............it's more like a Subaru! is it a dressing FT86?
-
Then I guess 1500 isn't that much
They must be 18's :D
sorry to mirror everyones comments but you will have a hard time getting rid of them.
i thought about it in the same way u did as in its cheaper to buy a used set them new tyres when the time comes, but it seems no one else sees it that way, or those ppl aren't looking.
i sold mine for 400 after 3 months! and it was on ebay everyday for 3 months!!!
I know someone got the 18' set less than 3 months at 1800.
BTW, when you sell the 16' set, think about there are no Lexus owner will interesting, but 1500 is obviously too much for Toyota owners.

Top spec IS350 should around 100K, will buy a GS350 instead. what is the point for the IS350?
gs is too conservative looking. is actually looks sporty!
same as what everyone else has already said.
oh.... interior of IS dash/centre console is so much nicer looking as well.
Agree............ 1st time I feel I am too old to out, haha

I just returned from interstate after driving my is250 over 1200 kms and worked out from using my navman that my speedometer is out by 10km per hour. At 60km/h the car is doing 50 at 110 km/h it is doing 100 km/h etc. Took it in to the Lexus dealer and they said there is nothing they can do. I am of the opinion that for such a great car with excellent build quality this is just not good enough. Does anybody know if there is a fix for this problem that has been documented by others before me. I shouldn't have to drive at 70 to be doing a real 60. This is also adding extra mileage to my vehicle over long periods. The dealer said they could check the car to determine how innacurate the speedo is but not fix it. UNACCEPTABLE.....
Hi, mate I think you are with 16' wheel, right? It's just normal if so.
for the OEM wheels speedometer will be 100% correct if you are on the 18'.

Yes, the highbeam & parker lights are much easier to change, and I would recommend removing the parts as above to access the low beam. It will make it much easier, and you will save your hands. I learnt from experience
Your are right mate, I found this from US forums:
http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-second-...h-pictures.html

kogarah, to change a headlight bulb you need to access it from inside, your link is only to remove the headlight unit to add halos.
It is simple to change a headlight bulb - remove covers, remove dust covers, change bulb, then do the same in reverse.
you mean for the low beam? High beam is easy but low beam is hard to access. Anyway mate I will check it this weekend,
-
You need remove the front bumper first to take off the headlamp unit to change the bulb. Youtube has a clip show how to do it:
-
Hi, Art
Do you have som pics for that? Thanks mate.

I want to Cargowise last week and saw a white IS-F sitting outside of the smash repair locating at 72 O'riordan St, Alexandria. The car looked OK as only had demaged on the front. The front bumper was removed so can't get any more info.
Drive easy guys.

Call the sale man yesterday and he said this is a deal that Lexus AUST and Dealer all take 50% of the discount. The thing is all price is go up to cover the zero interest. So just a sale trick.
Yes the loan is more hard than before: I bought one last week. We paid 40% upfront and rest for 12 months loan as company car. It's take 2 days to approved. The loan manager said same case will pass in 1 hour early of this year but now Lexus is more seriously about that.
Is350 For Oz In 2010..definitely
in Lexus IS250 / Lexus IS250C / Lexus IS350 / Lexus IS350C Club / Lexus IS-F / IS300h

In US market, the 350 price is around 15-20% more than the 250. So should begin from 72K? Hope so...............
