I bought extra 2 yrs warranty, so I guess I will stick with dealer servicing for its term. (btw. chatswood lexus' quote was $1k cheaper than lexus / toyota australia). they offer similar cover incl trims.

How much did you pay for the extended warranty, if you don't mind me asking? I had a quote from the general Lexus hotline and it was about 1700 bucks for extra two years and 150K kays or something like that... Was it $1K cheaper because you negotiated it when you bought the car, or did you buy the extended warranty afterwards?

My car's warranty is running out next year, considering upgrading it.

when i bought my car, I had 1 week of manufacture warranty left. due to the GS430 having so many gadgets, i decided to get ext. warranty. lexus line quoted me $2200 for 2yrs 100Kkays. chatswood quoted me $1200 for 2yr 100Kkays. Lexus line offer $100 discount when I haggled a bit. still no match for chatswood. but chatswood warranty is underwritten by some other company.

chatswood lexus assured me that it's like factory warranty incl. trim.

(there are other options, but this suits me most).

I live next to sydney lexus, but after reading all the good stories about chatswood lexus, I bring my car there for end of warranty check.

I noticed slight squeaky noise from dash, Syd from chatswood lexus is ording me a whole new dash and getting that replaced.

Lexus might cost a bit more on their service, but you are getting a loan car + car wash etc that your local mech wont' provide.

All is good I bought one via a Lexus dealer and it is in excellent condition and has warranty etc.

Via all my dealing I would like to inform everyone here of a really bad incident I had and would like to let everyone here know so that they don't have to go through a bad experience.

Please be extra careful if you are dealing with Personal Automotive Australia which are based in Castle Hill Sydney.

They tried to sell me a Lexus and stated it was a one owner vehicle and had never had any accidents or failures.

I got it inspected and there was evidence of lots of damage, evidence the car had been fully resprayed and when I did a vehicle history check it showed it had something like 4 different owners in only 3 years. So yeah be careful.

good to know you found the right car, you could have gone gs430 for the price.
