  1. I need to fix the control arms and lower ball joints on my 1991 LS400 (without air suspension). The parts alone in Australia are around $5000. There are parts places in the US that will sell genuine Lexus parts for about a third of that. It seems that after market parts would cost about $500.

    Does anyone have any experience with this? Are after market parts good enough? And is there a difference between Left and right hand drive control arms?

    Don't have any experience with the overseas arms. Do you need the top ball joint or just the upper inners? If bushes only get them from www.vftbusshes.com . Andrew Vlamos in Qld has them for around $280 set of 4. Much better than Poly bushes. Bottom ball joints from Chatswood Toyota for around $85. Hope this helps

    Thanks for your help but I have since bought after market parts and repaired it. The parts cost me $407 including shipping from the US. All is well.
