thanks,
i was considering between the bendex and the ebc.. still haven't decided.
is there any difference between the 09 model to the older model from brakes pad point of view?
reason for me asking is i can only find 06-08 brakes pad but can't seem to find 09 onward pads
-
hi guys,
time to replace my pads (brakes pads:)) soon, has anyone tried EBC redstuff yet? or can some one recommend a noiseless, dustless pad?

Hi All
Had a rattle in the drivers door or seat belt pillar since the car was nearly new, it is an annoying little tick, tick somewhere by my ear and it is driving me crazy.
Took the car to the dealer sometime ago but Murphy's law it would not make the noise when the tech was in the car.
Anyhow, dropped the car in yesterday and said you have it for the day and fix the problem.
Picked the car up and they said they replace the seat belt adjust as this has been a problem before and done some insulation work on the dash.
WELL, nothing they didn't fix it and to make things worse I now have a rattle from the dash that wasn't there before!
It really makes me wonder if I just got a free car wash and vacuum and nothing else!
So more of my time wasting going back to have the problem looked and and hopeflly ficked.
Anyone else have small rattles?
i have rattles with my car too.. so bloody annoying for a lexus..the dealer tried to fixed it (so they told me) but it seem worse.. some time there is so much rattles that i though my mazda 3 was a better car..
if you managed to get your rattles fixed, please let me know too

Hi Guys,
I have a wheels and tyres package for the IS250 for sale.
Wheels: Koya Inox R1 Front: 19x8.5 standard offset, Rear: 19x9.5 standard offset
Tyres: Kumho ku31 Front 235/35 Rear: 255/35
Price: asking $2K ono, cost when new is about $3K
Location: Melbourne
I bought these only about 2 months ago, but thinking of selling and going back to stock because mrs keeps complaining about the firmer ride.
It's almost brand new. only done about 2000kms.
THere is some very slight scuff marks on 2 rims because the mrs reversed into the kerb otherwise in excellent condition.
As mentioned the ride is firmer than stock, but the handling is awesome. These tyres are quite good, practically no noticeable difference in wet conditions. Noise level is the same as the stock tyres.
Photos are here: http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc441/Tai_Phanopolous/wheels%20for%20sale/
If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch with me

Well, I have finally got off my lazy ass and upgraded my rims. :)
I guess it's a matter of personal choice, but I absolutely love dish. Gotta have it! I think these ones suit the car well.
Rims are Koya Inox R1. 19", staggered 8.5" wide at the front, 9.5" wide at the rear. Wears 265 rubber in the rear, and 235 in the front.
Next step would be to get the car lowered, looks a bit ridiculous the way it is now, but one step at a time haha. Will get around to that in the next couple of weeks. First gotta sort out a small issue, the front rims rub a litle bit when turning...
Here are some pics, just after I had them installed. Nothing fancy, will do nice pics once she's lowered though hehe.

Front:
What do you think? :)
hi Danslex,
sorry to revive an old thread, my new wheels setup is exactly the same as yours, did you managed to resolve your small rubbing issue?

oh, then that changes things, lolol
looking into them now, but shipping is a killer, lol
might have to wait longer now
where r u getting it from and how much?
-
Its the oem resonator. only way to get rid of it is to replace it with after market or delete it.
although mine isnt as bad now after giving it a bit quite often.
wow really? why is that?
anyway you mean remove it? does it make any difference if i remove it?

finally got my f-sport spring installed at suspension city.. saw a couple of other lexus in the workshop, gave me confidence that they know what they're doing. cost was only $180 ..that's pretty cheap i think
so far i love the change, the ride is a little firmer and i sort of feel the road more..but best of all is the lowered look. best money spent i think..
hmmm what next? exhaust? i don't want to rice it up but wouldn't mind a more sportier note..
what exhaust are people using?
-
ok.. so what brake (not break!! :)) pad do i use? brands? type?
how long does the oem pads last? my car only done 19000ks? my old mazda oem pads was only worn 40% after 45000 then again it was manual so lots of engine breaking..
-
hi everyone,
not sure about you guys but my two front wheels are black every week..
is there any product out there that can "repel" break dust? or any other solution to this very annoying problem?
anyone found a break pad that's not so dusty?
-
i am a bit concerned about the so call noise from the f-sport spring..
i readed on the US forum that you'll get a clunk noise when cornering or going over bumps..
just wondering if anyone here with the f-sport spring can give me some idea of the noise and whether it's liveable with or if there is a fix?
thank you..

Hi Guys,
Just trying to get these initial things setup but struggling to sync my iphone contacts.
Has anyone else had dramas? I'm just doing the 4.0 to 4.1 software update on the phone, but do you think that could have been the problem?
I've checked over the steps here. When it says to connect to the device to transfer contacts it just sits there, then times out and fails after about a minute.
Cheers,
Dan
my doesn't work either so i gave up.. and i have 4.1 too i think..
btw.. the rattle in my sun roof is fixed :) yay.. but that was after two attempts..

Which "air filter thing" are you talking about???
The F-sport intake?? or another brand?? or just a pod filter?? or just the ram???
There wouldn't be issues with fit.......
We need more info mate!
sorry i meant the f-sport intake..

Hi,
I've been researching over the last few days too..Megan are really cheap compared to others low budget coils..
in addition to k2sty1's questions above, i am also interested in hearing some feedback on other coils, such as tenabe and tein and is it worth getting coils over f-sport springs?
