  1. Brilliant post, couldn't agree more. I was disappointed in the 3IS release, and the RCF unfortunately

    Have you driven an RC-F?

Or are you basing this on your 13 year old IS300?

FrankyX did you notice a difference between the RC350F and your IS350F?

As the RC has rear steer.

    Good write up too.

  2. sorry to say bud but i think your expecting abit too much

they are already doing a fantastic job with after sale support

Glad I'm not the only one thinking the same thing.

"Get over yourself" ran thru my mind. You bought a car not a subscription or membership.

The Ducati stand at the MotoGP at Phillip Island is full of Ducati owners, yes.....no free tickets though. Just the ability to buy a ticket to the stand is all ownership gets you.

Interesting, you don't know me yet you feel compelled to make a personal comment on me!

However, reading some of your other posts there is a common theme there.

Sorry Blacky, not commenting on you personally, from your other posts you sound like a good guy.

Just the thought that maybe yiou were expecting a little too much. My point with the Ducati stand is that maybe Lexus could have a section that Lexus owners can buy tickets to. What do you gys think of that??

Something between what you were expecting and what we actually got.

ilv1004 happy to keep it a happy place. Its more a point of watching what you type than the way you talk though. Don't worry be happy as they say.

  4. I disagree with a few parts of your post....but hey that's what a forum is for.

Sorry to sound harsh but I don't mean it to be. When I re-read my post through it read harsh but thats not what I had in my mind while typing. So please don't take it that way Lexus Nerd as I can see you are trying to be helpful...as am I.

Discussions on rattles feature prominently in these forums.

    "Prominent" (Meaning) Immediately noticeable; conspicuous.

Hardly what I'd call the level of discussions about rattles in new Lexus on this forum.

I've read stories from around the world where they'll hold on to them for days to try and finally remove rattles and squeaks.

Thats what they are...STORIES....you need to read different stuff???

After having one rattle removed .

Your one rattle is most likely completely different to his. Something to consider before suggesting a course of action that will most likely be a waste of his time.

consider the winder motor in the door. I've never heard of it being a problem in a Lexus.

    Then why suggest it???

Serriously take the car back to Lexus util your happy is the best advice.

  5. Free stuff?

I dont recommend Sydney City Lexus to anyone. poor customer service, since I bought the car under company. so i dont really care.

    Congrats on the car..very nice.

Gotta laugh at people who when buying a $80k car are worried about "free stuff". Seriously coolmeow? See what you get when you buy an Audi(my other car). You get zip....nil...zero. I'd be happy if the Audi had all its options as standard like the Lexus.

As for your bad customer experience... what particularly happened & why did you still buy the car off them then?

I only ask because I had the opposite experience...got bad service at Chatswood..OK service at Parra but really enjoyed dealing with City Lexus and thats where I bought from.

I certainly wouldn't complain or bag Chatswood or Parra though as its just my experience & wasn't sooo bad. I just voted with my money and gave it to who looked after me.

Wondering why you didn't do the same???

I got surveyed after I got my car, maybe you will too? I scored my guy 10 out of 10...sounds like yours will be lucky to get a 5.

As for running in the engine....its not as important on moden engines, especially Lexus as the engines get run before being put in the car.

Lexus state run in is optional:

The engine of your new Lexus vehicle is made with industry-leading precision and quality. As a result, the break-in procedures listed in the Owner's Manual for a brand-new Lexus are optional. While following these procedures may help to optimize engine performance and engine longevity over the life of the engine, these potential benefits are marginal compared to the benefits that result from ensuring that recommended maintenance is performed as scheduled.
  6. before I harrass my local Lexus dealer's service department

I'll save you the hassle....don't bother.

They won't touch you car or know about it. Software/switchgear/circuits only need to be slightly different for things not to work. Its locally built so different to what they are trained on and have workshop data for.

They will refer you back to a Toyota dealer who also will have no interest in helping you look into this as to avoid any dramas it may cause. If it ain't broke they won't try to fix it.

Sorry to be harsh but you've got an Aurion...enjoy it.
