  1. Hi,

Is ok to rant it out cos we do need cry out loud once in a while. As for my car, it was fixed and the problem is just that the temperature switch was stuck and thus it was unable to switch to heater. Got a guy who specialised in fixing car aircon to help me.

If you still need someone to have a look at your car aircon, I can pass you the number of the person who fixed my car.

    Thanks

Well, that's what I thought it would be something as simple as the signal not switching the valve to allow hot water in the heater core or not opening the air flow the right way, but as long as the dealer / Lexus is footing the bill for all this warranty work, I don't mind.

What I would really like is to see the difference in the parts, or at least a logical, plain English explanation but as I will be overseas for awhile, looks like my wife will be taking it in for the repairs and probably won't get details like tht from them; be interesting to see the service sheet if they give us a copy however.

Thanks for response, so many RX-350 readers looking at this and no one has even said if there heater is working properly yet, come on guys, it is a forum, share any information! :)

If this is on facebook, I would definitely like what you wrote. Thanks for your post anyway.

  3. i had HID's in my IS200 and no matter what i did because of the intensity of the light no matter how low i put them they would still spray light everywhere.

i found a solution though that made everyone happy (ie on coming traffic, myself and ppl i followed) it was head light eye lids / eyebrows. they didnt interupt the light Beam but prevented annoying spray of the light.

worth a try. HID light is awesome compared to halogen.

i might give it a try. how much did you buy the eye lid for? hopefully i won't be busted by the cops anytime soon.

  4. My car has HID fitted on it and I just want to know if I want to switch back to using halogen bulbs, can I just buy the halogen bulbs and replaced the HID?

If you have is200 head lights, (orange strip where indicator is) as opposed to is300 head lights then yes you should be able to. If there is an after market HID basalt in your car you will probably have to remove that first and buy the original bulbs to replace your current ones.

I am curious though, why do you want to switch back to standard bulbs?

Btw, I am on the coast as well :)

I do have an after market HID with ballast fitted by the previous owner and because I don't really want to attract attention so I would rather change it to the normal halogen. If not I might see if I can change it to a less bright HID. I am not sure if my lights are at 4.3k or 6k.

Where about are you on the coast?

Ah I see, do you have any pictures of you car?

    I am close to Dreamworld.

I am at Arundel by the way. Don't really have any image yet cos haven have the chance to take. Can I just change to a less brighter hid and avoid attention?
