It is a real slow car, not built for a racing but it's comfortable inside. If u wanna keep it stock as can be, try to remove something that u don't need, make it light weight is the only thing to do, add a bit of power plus light weight souls help a bit. However don't expect too much if u r not gonna change the engine.

My is200 rins 530km per tank avereragely, using Royal Purple 10w30 engine oil, and 50/50 of highway / city drive(light to medium foot)

Hi, I am now using Royal Purple for my is200 and it's only ran under 100k so I am still using 5w30, but heard from the mechanics that it would be better go for 10w30 after 100k.
-
Yes it's good, but I may try some other brands for the next time

Hi all, after a long time, I've finally change the engine oil twice now, I am now using the royal purple 10w30, it makes my car more smoother on acceleration and quiet. So far it seems good to me.

3sg takes 5w30, the 1g gets 10w60. castrol edge is very good.
& yes toyota uses castrol (gtx though)

hi T, thanks for your suggestion. i guess i will go for royal purple, and i think i will get the 10w30 and see how it goes.

let us know how it goes mate
i think lexus uses castrol
ya sure i will.
-
personally i have never used both the oils
i heard alot of good things about royal purple and motul though
great, since i've heard good comments as well, i think i may give it a try. thanks

it all depends what you wat to run
Full Synthetic
semi Synthetic etc
i would suggest Full Synthetic
and depending on your Engine condition the oil viscos will change also
personally i would go for
5w30
mobile 1
Elf turbolight
Penzoil etc
i use those oils
i think the IS200 takes around 5L if my memory is correct
Thanks, my car has only ran 50,000KM, still the 5w-30? I've heard about the brand named Royal Purple and Motul, what do u think of these 2 brands?

Hi guys, i uave an IS200 with 1G-FE engine, which brand and what type of engine oils gets the thumbs up for this engine? How many liters should I buy?
Thanks and appreciate for your advice

I don't think the normal one fits for your brembo, but there's still choices of the brake pads. However, brembo pads should be the most suitable one.

i agree mate, i've heard from some mechanics that e10 is not a normal fuel formula. it can really reduce a bit of bad gas from the exhaust and it's a bit cheaper but the amount that u can save from using it is not enough to cover the repair fee.
and i think there's lots of things that affect to how long the car runs like tire pressure, alignment, air-con, engine oil and wheel size. some ppl added a turbo, that also increases the fuel usage.
