I run 20x8.5 235/30 and 20x10 with 255/30 no guard work required. Lowered on f sport springs

Maybe an IS350 F Sport would be a better option to suit the 50k budget. Redbook prices are nothing to go by. For reference my mate has just purchased a 2012 Pearl white IS350 F Sport with 13,000ks for 49k. (Mind you, you can get one a lot cheaper with higher ks)

Very optimistic to think my10s will be 50-55 by next year
-
Yes I need to do this as well. Is there a recommended cleaner to use ?
-
That looks wicked - what wheels and suspension specs.
-
Nah that's not it. It usually retails for around 300. It's weird that the sub sometimes sounds good but other times sounds broken. I have read that the foam surround the sub sits on sometimes deteriorates causing the sub to sound like it's broken. That could be it.

They will be very similar performance wise wise. The is250 will have better fuel economy as well. Both are great cars so it really comes down to space requirements and your personal preference.
-
Driven both back to back - 2is is defiantly faster
-
Lol hopefully he still has it for you from 2006
-
Will do - did you replace the sub with an aftermarket in the same place or in the boot ?
-
My 250 with the factory fitted ML sound system has been pretty sketchy when it comes to producing good bass for a while now. At first I thought the sub had torn/cracked but sometimes it sounds fine and other days it sounds broken..
I have read somewhere that the foam surround that the sub sits on can deteriorate over the years causing the sub to sit wrong which makes it sounds like its cracked. Other threads say the rear parcel shelf can rattle causing the broken sound.
Anyway this weekend I am going to try and sound deaden the rear parcel shelf to try and fix it, any other ideas or suggestions which may work?
Cheers

yep should be fine, how wide is the rim 7inch 8 inch ?
-
If you have gone up in rim size but have then used the correct tyre size, your speedo should not be affected.
I have 20inch wheels on mine, and mine speedo is correct (within tolerances)
+ in regards to fuel economy, bigger 'heavier' wheels will decrease your economy, I think I get just under 500 now on BP 98

What a transformation. Wicked build thread, will be watching carefully

How much for the tail lights ? I couldn't seem to see a price?
-
I messaged the guy with an offer of 1200, and he never got back to me ! regretting it now lol
-
Do it, be the guinea pig - one small click on the computer but a giant leap for the Lexus community. ;)
The proportions of the LED strip/chrome surrounding etc. all look wrong and slightly awkward though...
lol yeah nah wont be doing it. If anyone knows of a australian set going cheap let me know !
-
Yeah I am a bit hesitant about going aftermarket, just so frustrating not being able to find any decently priced ones in aus ! I will most likely not be going ahead with these ones last thing I want to do is cheapen the car's appearance.I would recommend NOT getting those aftermarket lights, because if you read the whole listing carefully it says
"BULBS MAY NOT FULLY PROVIDE", meaning that one if those LEDs could stop working, etc. and they don't look as bright as OEM lexus DRLS either,
and I'm not trying to sound negative but most aftermarket headlight projectors glare/ have poor cutoff lines, and the LEDs could start flickering or flashing or stop working after a few months,
I'd recommend waiting and getting a set of Genuine lexus led DRL headlights, they will be of superior quality to these.
I noticed on the American ebay there are some 2011/12 headlights for around $400-500 + around $100-postage each side! some are good condition and some have broken tabs.
What is your max budget for this upgrade ?
My ideal budget would be 1k

Hey guys,
I have been looking for ages to find a set of genuine lexus 2012 led headlights for my 09 250. I cant ever seem to find any under 1.5k - 2k + mark.
I have just stumbled across these for $600. What do you reckon? Im a bit worried about the fit and finish of something aftermarket !
The place is called Mars Performance in Clayton, Vic
