  1. Wow! 265 for install and alignment!? Or install only?

I tried lexus perth, and they wouldnt do it (but if they were to do it, they said it could cost around $700).

    Peddars quoted 600-650.

And a local suspension shop said around 500.

Am I getting ripped? Or is it just WA prices?

(lol I know for sure ppl from sydney are always complaining about the price of coffee here in perth)

Or is it maybe shops in perth dont work on lexus often so they are quoting more in case it takes them more time?

Hi De Xile who'd you end up using to fit your springs & what it end up costing you ?

What springs you end up using too ?

  2. MR11 hunt around you should be able to find a better deal..

alot of US companies are not 'AUS' ship friendly.. so you need to find one that is and then you are set! the AUS $ is also down which will make an impact..

the ride on the RSR's was superb, I cannot reccomend them highly enough.. not harsh - just a nice ride and obvious benefits visually and body roll wise.

better than Eibach pro kits (previously had fitted to an SP25 and Accord Euro) which are generally rated one of the top springs developed.

and yeh I CU2 3IS is sold, currently have the new WRX but if all goes well will be adding an ISF to the garage next year ;) lets hope.... either way will be back in a Lexus for sure!

OK, cheers Vaku yeah this model is in dire straits need of 19" rims, or to be lower standard. Dont know why they didn't fit them standard, like on the ISF !

What was it like with people in the back, does it rub ?

The Eibach pro kit is more expensive too ?

Hey Vaku, just looking at getting these myself. You still happy with yours & the ride comfort ?

Whats it like with people in the back too, does it rub ?

That link, was for 2 springs, presuming theres no front or back to these ? you got 4 of them ? works out to about $763 for 4 INC freight to WA !

  5. No only 2 people but id say it would be fine as it's still above 100mm lowered - I did remove the 2x plastic pieces that sit infront if the front tyres as they did scrape a little on some higher speed bumps etc - makes no difference to the car at all in my experience.

Yes just angle and it's fine, in fact I have had no problems with ANY driveway / speed bump (since plastic removal which can easily be reversed) with the exception of a townhouse I bought - but the driveway - road angle scrapes standard cars.. It's pretty bad.

Slightly firmer but no complaints overall and no rattles etc, I have no intention of going back to stock springs unless I'm selling it!

Sorry meant to say have you had 4 people in the car yet, (including 2 in the back?) & if so does is scrape then ?

What do you mean re the removing of the 2 plastic pieces in front of the front tyres ?

    The springs where $279 ?

Looks great Vaku, & $279 for the springs & $350 to fit ? bargain i say.

You had 4 pple in the back yet, you get any rubbing/scrapping ?

They're the "progressive" springs, meaning the get stiffer as they get down into the lower part of the stroke ?

Great that you say not a lot stiffer than standard too ? Just took my F sport for a drive in the country & was really thinking the same as wouldn't want the ride to be much stiffer at all, otherwise starts to border on uncomfortable !

Take it you just the to go over speed humps at an angle now ?

  7. Yeah Eibach do make springs for these, ive just had a suspension shop confirm they're availability. In fact thinking of getting them installed next week.

Do you know what model RSR's were used in the white F sport in the pics, as that height looks about perfect. Not sure if thats your car or what the ride is like ?

1- 1.3 is a big "range" for a drop.1.3 would be too much i would think, especially at the back, as its not as high as the front !

  8. Eibach do make springs for these. They say drops the front 25mm @ the front 20mm at the rear, which sounds about perfect.

They're "30% stiffer" than standard they say which im not sure if it going to be too rigid. Apparently any spring that lowers the car has to be stiffer to compromise for the fact there's less travel. Im just hoping they don't make the ride too rigid, as i think the current spring rate is spot on !

$900 fitted, wheel aligned to do the whole car if that helps ?

  9. Hi has anyone lowered one of these yet ?, or put 19" wheels on one, (love to see some pics if anyone has successfully done this yet)

They sit somewhere from an inch, to two inches to high, & think they'd look a lot better lowered, or with 19" wheels to fill the guards out.Have heard bigger diameter wheels can throw your speedo & or odometer out, or both ?

Also wondering how it could effect the "stiffening" of the suspension when you put it in F sport mode. could also be a reason for lexus to void any warranty if after market springs where installed ?

  10. From WA you heard about Lexus Chatswood? I don't want to disclose the price because I named the dealer, I can say that I got a substantial discount to the normal retail price. The dealer that gave me the cars to test wouldn't come to the party on price, not even close .

These cars retail for $93k in NSW, they are a bit more in WA because you have to pay more stamp duty but then again you pay half what we pay on rego per year so over 5 years it works out about the same, besides you guys in the wild west are wealthy, not only you dig up dirt and sell it, we in the east subsidize you with our taxes. I think it's about time this stopped.

As I said before the 335I is quicker that the IS 350 and handles better, the downside, even if you optioned it with everything you can get, it still can't match the sport luxury features.

It's a well known fact about the oil leaks in the N54 engine, they all will leak from the oil filter housing, some with as little as 30k ks and most will leak from the transmission ( 6 speed ZF), I don't know about the new F30 with the 8 speed ZF. Another common failure is the fuel pump, more in USA than here. Check on google BMW335I problems and see what you came up with.

Rather than another 20 posts, slrevolver@hotmail.com if youd ike to chat some more, sounds like you know a bit about WRX's too

  11. Yes of course the new shape..

BMW gave me a car to test , why wouldn't Lexus? I wanted to drive both the F-sport and the sport luxury because nobody could tell me for sure if the suspenssion is the same.

I bought the car from Lexus of chatswood but that's not where I tested the cars.

I have to say they are very proffessional, the salesman spent well over one hour with me showing me all the features and how to set everything up he even set my phone!! The cars was supplied with slimline plates ( they are extra money in NSW) and a box full of roses, a gift voucher from roses only, a bottle of French champagne and a box of chocholates!

Never has this kind of service from BMW ....

Wow, have heard chatswood are good, what did you pay, (if you dont mind me asking) & take it the dealer/s who you test drove with price wasnt up to scratch ?

Makes you wonder when you hear BM stories likes yours of a car thats $20-$25k more, yet the finish isnt as good, isnt made in germany & comes complete with oil leaks.

  12. Hey all

From Sydney. Glad to say I have taken delivery of my new IS250 in white (2014 shape .. even though its still 2013)

Def happy I didnt opt for the Merc CLA250 (which was a 3 month wait)

Having owned a IS200 Sports Luxury, then a Merc SLK, then Merc C200 and now back to Lexus.

    Def was a refreshing change.

Im happy to see more owners and enthusiasts of the new IS (2014) here!

Hi congratulations, was that a F sport model, or standard ?

  13. Happy to say after extensive road tests, I had the F-sport for a day and the sport luxury for 2 days, I put an order for a sport luxury IS350 last Thursday, picking her up next Tuesday, looking forward.. Unlike the 335I , no options offered..

Coming from the dark side, currenly own a BMW335I.

Hi lucky you, taking it that is the new shape ?

Howd you manage to get one for the day, let alone 2 days, & what dealer did you choose, see theres 8 odd in NSW ?

  14. You can order the keycard key from Lexus of Miami Florida (yes you read right) and i think its $250 -$500 from them cant remember.

Seems theres massive price differences from lexus aust, to the US, shame the cars are left hand drive, imagine how much cheapers the actual cars are ??
