  1. Hey Guys

So I've been parts of the forum for a while, just looking at small mods and tips to improve and make my car a bit more unique from all the whole IS family. I've got an ING front lip and coilovers (not sure what brand) from the previous owner.

I'm thinking about throwing some new wheels on and was wondering if XXR 521 20x8.5 + 32mm and 20x10.5 +30mm would be able to fit on my car without any guard work of modifications.

    Thanks in advance

nice but i would go with 19' i find 20' to big for is250

btw nice ING front , i also have ING full kit :) we can be friends LOL

Thanks mate! The reason why I'm going for 20' is because i have a set of laying at home from the previous owner of the car. The guy cracked 3/4 of the rims but the tires look in pretty good conditions so I was thinking of reusing them. As for the INGs, THANKS!!! It took a bit of getting used to, was scraping quite a bit when i first got it on LOL

  2. yeap

a good sizesd wheels wiill be

9 fronts with low 30's offset

and 10 rear with mid 30's offset

dpending on the tyres u run on the back u wont have to do guard rolling

    or slight guard rolling

just incase u want to know this is my ISF with

    19x9 +36 front and 19x10 +36 rear

on the ISF i would like the front to be abit more flush but on a normal IS should be flush as the F is slightly wider in the front than the regular IS's

Thanks for the response Danny, the ISF looks amazing. Did you have to do any camber or guard work on your car with this set up? I'm still pretty new to the whole car modification scene so not too sure what I have to go through to get the right set up for my IS

  3. No first hand experience but i have been researching a bit on wheel fitment.

From my understanding, the 20x8.5 +32mm should be fine but the 20x10.5 +30mm would most likely require guard work.

This is also dependant on tyre size and how low you go but the 10.5 +30mm is a fairly aggressive fitment so guard work recommended in my opinion.

For a reference, the car in the attached thumbnail is running 10.5 + 30mm in the rear with zero finger gap.

Thanks for the reply! Love the fitment of the car too, but what kind of guard work are we looking at? Rolling the fenders and removing in the inner plastic housing? Or is it more extensive than that?
