  1. Hey Guys

So I've been parts of the forum for a while, just looking at small mods and tips to improve and make my car a bit more unique from all the whole IS family. I've got an ING front lip and coilovers (not sure what brand) from the previous owner.

I'm thinking about throwing some new wheels on and was wondering if XXR 521 20x8.5 + 32mm and 20x10.5 +30mm would be able to fit on my car without any guard work of modifications.

    Thanks in advance

nice but i would go with 19' i find 20' to big for is250

btw nice ING front , i also have ING full kit :) we can be friends LOL

Thanks mate! The reason why I'm going for 20' is because i have a set of laying at home from the previous owner of the car. The guy cracked 3/4 of the rims but the tires look in pretty good conditions so I was thinking of reusing them. As for the INGs, THANKS!!! It took a bit of getting used to, was scraping quite a bit when i first got it on LOL

oh thats why haha alright fair enough

yeah lol i was scraping when i had my INGS kit on back in the days when i was static kinda miss it

  3. Hey guys, need a bit of help. I've been umming and ahhing about springs ever since i got the damn car but financial reasons and the fact i live with a steep driveway and constantly take a full load of passengers made me always question it... But want to know what's going to give me a reasonable drop without me scrubbing on my current set up taking into account potential full passengers etc..

I have the ISF style wheels staggered fitment 19x8F and 19x8.5R with 235/35F and 255/35R tyres. I currently already get a little bit of scrub on the inner front wall guard when I turn the wheel about one full turn. Just worried that a bigger drop could be a problem. Which springs will suit me best?

hi mate have you ever though about buying coilovers? their height adjustable and much more comfortable to drive

    Welcome, Benjamin.

No, it's not odd. At the meets, you'll find:

    - those who will always have a new mod since the last meet

    - those whose car stays stock for a good few years ;)

    - those who turn up to a meet, intending to maintain a stock car, but catch the "mod bug" ... careful, you may be next! :D

haha yeah i would be the those who will always have a new mod since the last meet

keen come show everyone my car on dyno day

  5. hi all, great thread but still a bit confused...

thinking about fitting s.tech springs for my is250 prestige, just put 18" rims on.

did anybody find that the wheels scrub?

also (sorry for amateur question), what are these spacers people talk about?

    thanks in advance!

hi man ill help you here LOL i went from 17' stockies to 18' bbs lms with +20 offset lowered with neomaxes before selling them

if you have 18' wheels depending on the offset and tyre sizes you could probably go really low (with rolled guards)

with springs you are able to cut them to the size that you want but later down the track you want to swap wheels you have to maybe get new springs for the fitment , coilovers are adjustable so if you want more low you just adjust it by hand or raise it LOL

or you can run airbags and raise car up and down via remote

oh spacers are pretty much metal hubs that help you push out your wheels to sit flush with your guard pretty much if you have a bad offset and want your tyres to be flush with the guard you get spacers to push them outwards but remember you got the right MM's or you will have poke
