  1. Hey Fellow Lexi Entusiests!

Just recently bought a 2005 GS430 to replace the wifes little Echo (Which will be now a station car).

Ive been a member for a very long time as I owned an IS200 many years back with a 1JZGTE conversion.

Ive always lurked and read here and there, alwyas knowing one day I will come back.

I run www.gorillaindustries.com.au, we bring in parts from USA and Japan, and also compete in Time Attacks in our Supra.

I know there are not many GS owners on here so Hope i can mix it up with the IS guys!

    Shane

  2. Never thought I saw LPG thread in the lexus forum lol. Owning a Landcruiser and have had LPG before, ive had a little exp in it

This is what fixed it backfiring

    1. LPG plugs from NGK

    2. TOP GUN leads compatible with LPG, spiral wiring,

    3. Taking out the hyclone from inside the airintake helped.

    4. An old remedy also is to keep the spark plug cables a few millimetres apart not scrunched together to prevent arching.

I get about 21.5l/100 on gas around town so not too bad. Like to know what it does on the freeway.

  3. Ive actually been eyeing out your IS350 dude (Im on PF too :P). Its just over my budget for a car tho (for the nopics). I was looking into the GS for her, but she thinks its too oldmanish..and I cant settle for the 250, because its slow haha...

Its true, yours is the lowest F Sport on Carsales, I been trying to find a cheaper one so I can show you haha

  4. hehehe Ghast, i think this car is just not meant to be for you..its a sign!! That is very badluck!

Ozboy, wow i thougth i had a lot of cars, thats a sh!t load of cars! Sorry i must of miss read the part "Washer trim was fitted incorrectly, trim was at an angle, removed and realignment trim connected hose and tested."

And yeah, had no idea VW offered that type of service.

  5. I have to input here. Even though I dont own a Lexus anymore.

Fair enough you have paid top $$ for your cars, and you do deserve great service. I really think Lexus does offer great service. Dont take it for granted thinking "I will never buy a Lexus again" only becuase of 1 or 2 bad issues. No other maker offers this type of service, picking up your car, giving you a loan car etc.

Fair enough about the example above about nareesh not calling back and the scratch, poor form, but comon, the window washer not spraying the windscreen? How hard is it to get out of the car and see if there is some blockage there? Most probably some moth *BLEEP* thats stick right infront of the nozel, use a pin to scrape it clean, 30sec job.

There should be some sort of compensation for all the inconvenience and distress caused to me.

What would you like? Free tickets to the opera or something? They have given you perfectly good loan cars for your inconvinience.

I think if you buy a BMW or Audi, you will realise just how good lexus & their service is. I can comment in regards to Mercedes as I have had no experience with them.

  7. I love going to track days. But i usually go to wakefield park as there are no walls "if" you slode off hehehe.

Being in Sydney, thats 2.5hour drive, fuel for a day, usually fill up 3 times, now in my supra thats $300, Track fee, usually about $200. My Tyres cost me $1000 (Thats cheap as i bought off a friend) they are Bridgestone RE55s Semi Slicks (About $400 each), my brake pads were $300 and thats average, i really wanted Endless but due to exchange rate its about $400!

I usually do an oil change before a track too.

Tyres and pads last me a while as its not like i go all the time, maybe 5 times a year. All that being said its the best fun!!

  8. Definitely recommend Chatswood Lexus. They sell more Lexus' than anyone in Australia (so they have buying power), and I got a great deal back in the beginning of 06 when the car was very new (and therefore not discounted). Plus if you buy their car, they give you (for as long as your warranty lasts - 4 years) free carwashes. This is pretty cool especially if, like me, you work in the same suburb. These days, that car wash service is so popular that you need to book it weeks in advance.

I've had other friends who also bought IS250's from Chatswood and they happy with their dealership experience.

Thanks for the help so far guys! Im getting really hooked especially after i saw this!

Im sure my wife wont let me do any mods, but i can only dream.

  9. I did as well today. It is a amazing car! Handles brilliantly and sounds superb, especially after 3500rpm. If I had the money I would be ordering one tomorrow.

By the way it was really good service from Melb City Lexus. The dealer was happy to let me give it as much as I wanted without losing my license. The spare parts and accessory guy was also really helpful. Very impressed.

Farout! How do i get a drive????? Im going in on Sunday to hopefully put a deposit on a new 250, so they will know im not in the market for the F haha...maybe wait for 15k service, might get one as a service car

  10. In the UK we tend to "get" our Mods from Lexus GB or Lexus USA but would love to know whats available in Japan. As you are relatively close I am surprised you guys don't shop there.

    Any reason?

    Tel

I get all my parts from japan, helps i have a contact there, but now with the $ at 64c, there is no use to buy overseas atm :(

That being said i can get anything from japan hehe, i have rare parts on my supra, non existant anymore hehe, like power fc, trd steering wheel, trd cluster.

  11. Im sure we would all like the IS-F too, but yeah maybe in 15 years time when they are 30k ill get one haha.

Im reading through all the pages here, all my thoughts/queries are answered through everyones experience, sorry guys i should know better not to search :P

Im loving the car more and more just by reading everyones posts, getting gifts, awesome service but I have seen one negative one tho, where someone complaines about reattles and squeeks and eventually got a pro rata refund.

Danny, my plan is white prestige with dark/gunmetal wheels haha...im neglectng the supra already, been a week since i look for parts for my supra online hahaha..
