Just transfered over from the U.K. sight as the Oz sight is better positioned to help

Jan 06 we will be in Oz for 4 weeks,flying into Brisbane to visit parents and sister,so no car needed there,posssibly staying in Brisbane 4 days or so.

Having done QLD the last two trips out, we would like to see something of NSW and spend 26 Jan in Sydney for the big party (enjoyed it the last time we were there)

We have always hired a car before,but have wondered if it would be better to buy and then sell before we leave for home. Your thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for your input Lextcy Have already cost the hire charges up with the firm I normally use,and all in all it looks as if you are right,Lot less hastle and cheaper in the long run.

Buying is a long term commitment. Having your own car is great but think and plan long term ;)
