Spewk1
Ive got a 2007 IS250 in graphite and im trying to decide between the two following sets of rims; Varrstoen 3.2.2 19x8.5 F with 30+ and 19x9.5 38+ R or BB5 LM replicas in 19x 8.5 F with +45 and 19x9.5 +45 R I want something to fit flush that isnt going to require mods. The car is stock height but I am happy to lower it a bit in the future if possible. Can someone also let me know what would be the best tyre combo? Atlantis
My guess is that the Varrstoens will scrub on the front due to the low offset. +45 is factory offset, so the BBS LMs should fit very nicely.
334mm
Nope the varrstoen won't scrub at that offset. They start to scrub at 25 onwards for 8.5. I'd be more concerned about wheels hitting inner arms at +45.
Atlantis
So I'm dreaming with the +38 offset 8.5" wide rims scrubbing on my car then? Not lowered, 235 wide tyres. Had to go a 225 wide tyre to stop the scrubbing.
Atlantis
I have 10" wide rims on the rear with +45 offset. There is a tonne of room either side of the wheel & tyre and even with a 285 tyre it won't scrub with 4 people in the car.
334mm
lol I'm running 8.5 +22 no scrub

Atlantis
So you get zero scrub when the wheel is turned at a 45 degree angle? I'm not talking about straight line scrubbing. There's someone on here with 8.5" +35 who scrubs as well.
Spewk1
can i get a definitive answer on this because im pretty keen to pull the trigger on the BBS wheels. They can give me any offset from +20 to +45 so whats going to work best that doesnt need the guards to be rolled? I want them to sit as flush with the guards as possible. From the offset calculator i did in comparison to stock (from what I have looked into is F 8 with +45 and R is 8.5 +50) the fronts will have 6mm less inner clearance and will extend 6mm more out the rears will have 8mm less inner clearance and will extend 18mm more out. Will this work and with what tyres? Thanks

I actually didn't notice it, but was told about it, and without any music on it sound like a mouse scratching its nuts. Honestly, don't notice it. Spook, depend if you actually care if for about a month or so it will be slight rubbing on a tiny bit of plastic you can't see or hear with music on. After that month it will wear down and disappear. or you can just use a heat gun and push it back.
