Is this sound under the bonnet normal?
Does sound a bit noisy my 05' GS 300 timing chain rattles for 1-2 seconds when cold upon start up however, this only happens 1 in 15 to 20 cold starts. I checked with Lexus and was told its just a second before the oil pressure builds and gets to the top end which makes sense. Another noise which you may have on your car is a clicking sound coming from the back LHS of the engine I believe this is a fuel sender unit however don't quote me on that. I have never had any error codes and my car runs like a dream. Regards. -

Anyone? Am I being led up the garden path? This bloke wants to charge me 2500 for a preventative measure that isn't needed? -

Hi, just picked this bad boy up. Manual tezza. Pretty much 100% OEM but not for long. Needs more turbo lol. Looking forward to consulting the brains trust. Question #1 Has anyone heard of the titanium exhaust valves letting go on these? I'm being fed horror stories by a toyota head specialist, but not sure if he's bs-ing me or not. -

Anyone heard of or experienced catastrophic failure of the titanium exhaust valves? I'm just trying to price out a 100k service, and this one guy (a head specialist, of course lol) wants to put stainless valves in, says its not if but when they let go. $2500 job. Is he having a lend? -

Throttle body. To clean or not?
Agreed and do not push the throttle body butterfly at all costs doing so breaks the fly by wire and you will need a brand new throttle body. I learned the hard way so you don't have to, save yourself the stress and money. Regards.
