91ls400 As Scrap

Hi Guys,

A) I have just bought a 91ls400 (180 000Mls) for 1500 UK pounds which is about 4000AUD.

What would it be worth if I brought it back to Aus when I return?

Assuming that it has dropped under its repairable worth over here.

Most cars have a clearly defined value at which point they are worth more as scrap but these cars muck up that calculation by being so sturdy.

Does anybody ever put alternative engines in these things?

B) This may horrify most of you but is it possible to drive, ie pwrsteering and pwrbrakes a 91 model ls400 down a fairly straight, long hill without the engine running? (fuel is 2.50 AUD per litre)

there was a celsior(same as ls 400 except air suspension and velour seats) on ebay couple of weeks ago went for aud $5900 shipped to Aus ex japan.173km on it.
