Is there a way to remove the dash to get access to the middle where there is no button? Just want to put my own button there is all.

One cover has to be removed from the side. It's usually covered by the door when the door is closed. Then from the bottom near the pedals (2 screws) then that whole top bit just comes off as it is held together by clips.
