Lowering springs or Coilovers?

Hey all, im new to car modding and was planning on lowering my car, I don't want to ruin the comfort of my stock suspension too much, and I only wanted too reduce the wheel gap by a bit. I am leaning towards lowering springs as I have heard they are more appropriate for this kinda setup, any suggestions

I have a stock gs300 2004 but am planning to get 18-19inch wheels.
