Power Hatch motor or shocks diagnosis

So I have been reading all the posts I can find about problems with the power hatch.
But I dont see one where it will close as intended using the remote or the button on the hatch, but will not open. I do hear an electric motor working but I think that is the lock unlock motor.
Do you think I need a new motor or a new set of shocks.

Hi MickQueensland. If you open up your glove box you will see on the left hand side of the opening some buttons to switch on and off the tail gate. hope that helps you.Jim

Thanks Jim, but that button seems to be in the correct position.

If the same as NX Car must be unlocked (key or door handle), then you need long press on key hatch button.
