Regarding the is300, as someone who wishes to keep the motor N/A, what was the standard manual transmission for the is300? The reason being for those not already aware, that is the transmission Vicroads will accept without requiring some type of engineering/safety certificate.

What is the most financially efficient modifications to that transmission, to make it fit?

Where are the most abundant supply of parts required?

Note: I have asked the Castlemaine Rod Shop if they are willing to create a bell-housing for the IS200 6 speed (the j160 as you all probably know), to fit the is300. Because they seem the most qualified in Aus to do so, I have approached them twice. I have been ghosted each time. Please let us all know if you know of a better alternative.

With question time over I feel I must say for many who think this: I rarely join these forums because they're riddled with time wasters for us fact seekers. We who seek only facts and knowledge from those well experienced on the vehicle in question. The entire point of these forums.

Don't waste everyones' time who will one day read this with opinion. I'm not asking for opinion. What you think I should do with my car simply because its what you would do is irrelevant to what I'm asking and my personal vision. Those who do that only say what we all know anyway. I'm not concerned with what you do. YOU DO YOU & ENJOY IT. I'm asking for actual factual knowledge. We ask questions, those with actual knowledge answer and we all greatly appreciate them for it. The Yodas of this universe is why we are here.

I am not usually this short & impatient with my words, I'm just so tired of all the empty, useless banter on these sites for those seeking to be educated by those who actually know. If I have offended people, I apologies. At my age, I just have little tolerance for square peg round hole syndrome.
