Difference In Tail Light Shade For Is In Au.

Hi Guys:

Just want to share with you my recent findings of difference in tail light shade for 2004 model.

below is the summery: in AU, but not sure for other countries' model

Pre-2002 facelift (1999~Oct2001)

Front headlights and fog = bright chrome except sport headlight with "dark backing"

Rear: bright chrome tail light for ALL exterior colours

2002~2003 models

Front: same as Pre-2002 model

Rear: Bright chrome tail light for lighter colour e.g. silver,white,

"Dark" chrome tail light for darker ext colours e.g. black, graphite,blue,green

2004 model

Front: headlight and Fog light has grey shade (darker than Pre-2004 models but not as dark as "sport" headlight)

Rear: Grey shade tail light, SAME FOR ALL COLOURS cars. Ie. silver or white cars the taillights appear to be dark. and for black cars the tial look clear!

Yeah I have noticed there seem to be a few IS's around with darker tails than my OEM ones

Wondered whether they came with the car or got them imported
