Immobiliser Trouble

i cant seem to be able to immobilise the starter relay. have tried several wires but immobiliser doesnt like to do anything with it. put another relay on but immobiliser cant pull it in. fuses rated at 10amps so should be able to pull it in. isolates the fuel pump ecu and main ignition ok, but nothing i do will cut out the starter motor but can cut certain wires near the ecu and it stops but wont work with imob in series.. and ecu pinout from supra says e9-77 is the starter relay, which is wrong for aristo. any help much appreciated.
