  1. hey guys, me again

i just rang up the vinyl place and they can provide metallic colors, that means the gold and silver are not just plain gloss, but will look metallic.

i havn't looked at the actual material yet. i will when i take the actual designs in for them to make

The cost will depend on the design sizes, the sizes of the fonts, and the colors available (they have to order in certain colors). Metallic colors are a little more expensive than plain gloss.

Come on guys, more votes..! :-- D

  2. i guess so.. i think the vinyl place can provide a number of colours. i have seen the gold ones that they have, i have some white ones made, seen their blue, orange, red... they probably have more

i don't know, should we do them all in one color? or a couple of set of each of the altezza colors?

i will try to ring up tomorrow and see what colors they have, and get back to you guys..!

  3. Hey guys..!

I have fixed up the design, and here they are

    NZLOC%20LOGO%202.JPG

keith, I fixed up the NZ to make it easier to read :-- )

I reckon, for the side windows, we could use the deisgn with the Lexus logo, since there isn't much room anyway. and the rear window, use the web address.

yea, like Matt said, have something reasonable sized.

I have contacts to the vinyl place. Once we have finalised the design, sizes and the amounts we want, I can send the design over and get them done :--)

Guys, more input please..! So I can design something that all of us like!

    hey guys here it is.

    Side window 100mmX20mm.

    Rear window 220mmx60mm.

If you have seen Matt's ones, the side window ones are slightly bigger than his, and the rear window one is about the same size as his.

I have contacted my friend about this whole design a logo thing, and he's sweet and is waiting for us to hand him a design to give to the vinyl place.

Anyway, this is a start i guess, and plz comment on the design or post some up here and we can then decide which to use!

  5. hahah i don't know, probably not by Friday..! It's too busy at my work to fit another car in there..!

They told me to remove the light, get a heat gun or soemthing and dry the inside, and seal all edges. And hopefully it'll work. But if not, black housing front lights man! haha :P

Probably this comeing saturday there will be room in the garage :--p

  6. You're lucky franco, with the Apexi N1 Coilovers come in STANDARD haha

I got some TANABE CVSquare installed a week or 2 ago. According to factory specs, F -43mm, 6.5kg/mm R -33mm, 5.5kg/mm is what the springs give you. I'm using the springs with standard Altezza shocks (they are the front are Tokico shocks, don't know about the rear).

Performance has definitly increased, as the lower the car, the lower the center of gravity, and less the body roll (still a little of cuz..!). The rear slides a little more in corners but i think its because I drive a little faster than before with the springs in now haha

Comfort? Its great, way less harsh than Coilovers and feels like standard. But you can tell that there is something done to the suspension. In the long run, I would get aftermarket shocks too, as lowering springs cause standard shocks more stress.

Well, i guess if you are just after the look, get some springs. If you are not lookin too deeply into the performance side of things, get lowering springs with aftermarket shocks. And for best performace, get some Coilovers!

Hope this helps the members who are considering of lowering their ride!

  7. hey ChronicSK

i have that noise and i think its normal too :---D

Its got something to do with "cold contracts and hot expands" i guess.

As your brakes are cold after a night in your garage, so your brake housing kinda grip your pads more in the mornings. And I think you hear that 'clunk' noise because the brake pistons are pushing a bit of metal over another.

    Thats my guess ahah :P

  8. not in this car, YET haha

    but in my old car...

a cop car was following me and then suddenly over took me and i was like, wow

i kept driving then saw them parked on the side of the same road with the lights out (it was at night)... definitly waiting for me to do something :---\
