Altezza Girl

Just a question about the Temperature, Battery and Oil Guages. Can someone let me know what position the needles should usually be at for each of the three guages. Thanks :)

Very nice!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) I was sold on the colour too! Saw one about a year ago on the motorway, and knew straight away I wanted one!!!! Yeah, I agree with the "look at me" bit. Is this a yellow thing, or for altezza's in general?!? I cant go anywhere without someone seeing me! (which makes it difficult when you wanna sneak away from work ten minutes early....you always get sprung!!!!!!) :D Have you thought about getting personalised plates? Anyways, your car looks great! Bet you're counting down the days now till you get it!!! :)

how do you use the newspaper to clean the windows?

I've got the same "clunky" problem too, but I've noticed it does get a bit better after driving around for about 20 mins or so. I was told it was because I was not pushing the clutch in hard enough, but everyone who drives my car has the same problem, so guess its just a Lexus/Altezza thing!

If the dust depends on how hard I’m driving it, then by the amount of powder coming off, I must be doing ok! Manual is a breeze now! I’m not sure why I ever considered getting another automatic, manual is just so much fun!!! I know its not a factory pipe [thanks to impromptu Altezza Inspection by Matt and Aaron in Mission Bay one night] :), so might give it a bit of a polish and see what happens! I’m always a fanatic, and manage to impress with my bright yellow car, without even trying!!!! :) I just wish I could have it as clean as the car yard guys had it looking!!! With all this rain, I could see the washing possibly dropping back to every second week over winter [and cold water it is then], but once a month…… not just yet!!! :) hehe Cheers guys for the advice! Hey Guys, Just some "beginners guide to washing my altezza" questions..... Is it normal to have alot of black dusty/powder (coming from my wheels I think), that manages to get my car dirty all the time?!?! I brought some "Mothers" car wash and bottle of Mothers wax. My great intentions to wash my new car twice a week has somehow dropped back to once a week (yes, some people told me so!!! hehe) :) Is there a general rule as to how often I should wax my car?? Also, last cleaning question... is there a specific product on the market that I should use to clean my exhaust pipe and mags? (At the moment they both just get a general wash with the rest of the car.) The mags, being black, dont show up the dirt as much as I imagine the silver ones would?!? I've seen nice shiny exhaust pipes on other cars, so want to know if mine should look like that too! :)

Yay!!! What an achievement to get 200 Lexus/Altezza fans to join up!!! It's a great way for everyone, especially me, to learn about my car from all you experts. The 199:1 odds are great, but now the challenge is to get other Altezza Girls like me to join too!!! :)

Just let me know what you want the stickers to say, and sizes etc. and I will see if I can get a couple of designs made up, then everyone can have their say on what they think!?!? I'm sure that colour choices wont be a problem! :)

The mags do say B.I.M. Creative Studios on them. Is it an ok brand?? They match in really well on my yellow car, with the black mags and yellow writing on them. We went driving around on Friday, and did end up in the city [Auckland], so it probably was me! I have been surprised that there are not that many Altezza's around, but love it when I do see others out and about! :) Diane :) P.S. Only stalled once today, so things are looking up!!!! :)

Hey, well guess I'm officially an "Altezza Girl" now that I have my wheels! Yay!! Picked it up on Thursday, and haven't taken much time out from driving it since then! I'm loving driving my car. Having a manual car for the first time is taking a bit of getting used to, so if any of you are driving around, I'm the yellow altezza taking off really slowly at the lights, so I don't stall it! (only stalled five times since Thursday!!!!!!!) But I am getting better each day!!! hehe :) :) It's great to be first (or one of the first) girl members of the club. Surely there are more of us out there, cos they are such a great car!!!! :) I saw a really nice Altezza in Auckland City last night. Not sure if he is a member of the club or not, but its great seeing other Altezza's on the road!!! I'm looking forward to seeing others of you out and about, and definately at the next meet! Thanks for the welcome guys! Metro-sexual altezza boys huh!! What have I got myself into?!?! hehe :) My car should be ready by Thursday (or so they tell me) after it has the alarm etc installed. Do you know how far away Thursday is......... :) But its all good. I have seen a few altezza's driving around already, and I can't help but be excited!!! Really looking forward to meeting up with everyone. That would be really cool to meet you all, so I know who everyone is!

It's great to be the first girl member! I'm in Auckland. My new baby is a manual RS200Z, bright yellow. Not too clued up on all the specs etc. yet, but I'm sure one of you guys can teach me! I don't have any pictures of it yet, but will take some as soon as I pick the car up (hopefully this afternoon!!!!)
