  1. hey guys, are there any transplant options of other motors to replace the 3ltr motor?

same applies for changing the shifter, does a soarer auto stick retrofit into the ES model?

This applies to a '93 model.

I'd love to know aswell, even though I don't have the ca$h at the moment I'd like a little more then my '93 is giving me.

Having said that I asked my trusted mechanic about my performances options and he said to me "Oh, we can make your car go reallly fast, but it will cost alot of money!"

Would the LS400's 4.0L V8 be a possible option? That would probably suit me nicely.

TheLS400 is rear wheel drive. It is probably impossible to get the drive shaft through to the back, and the rear suspension isn't designed for RWD.

I would go for the Aurion V6 if it fits.

  2. outta luck on that idea guys

The needles cannot be brought from toyota on their own, only the entire guage cluster at NZ$1100+gst

I have the needles off my spare dash. they'r easy enough to get off, just take the coverings off the front and gently lift them off, problem is, they'r a line of VERY tiny LED's. someone that has the electrical expertise would be able to repair them, i found a guy in NZ that can but thats NZ$130 per needle minimum

i will put up some photos in a few days

My tacho and speedo are mostly dead, an occasional flash of light.

I don't have any problems doing the electrical/electronic repair, but I was wondering what the procedure is for removing the instrument cluster.

If anyone has done this and could post details, I would appreciate it. Photos would be good.

I will post details when I repair the instruments. this will include procedure, photos, and parts required as well as necesary skill level.
