The brakes on my '06 GS450h make a high pitched squeal when braking at low speed. I have had this problem in other cars, and in my experience it can be fixed by chamfering the brake pad edges, or replacing the pads. Also there is a Lexus service bulletin L-SB-0015-09 regarding brake squeal.
