  1. I have a B&M quickshift fitted - reduces through by nearly 50%, but is a lot tighter/stiffer change.... a lot more positive......

    Hi zee007:

    So B & M has made a quick shifter specifically for IS200/Altezza 6MT!?

How much did u pay for ur B&M quickshifter?

and Is it easy to install? can be DIYed?(need to drill any holes or cut any thing?)

also can it be changed back to stock shifter easily?

    thanks very much!

    SSML

Yes - the B&M quick shift is specifically designed for the IS200/Altezza.

It was around £250 sterling and I installed it myself in the dark - took me no more than 30 minutes. It came with instructions, and all the new bolts etc. Very easy to fit and is all done inside the car (no need to cut holes or drill - direct replacement).

You can swap back to your stock shifter easily when you come to sell your car!

It is a short throw and will take some getting used too, and its difficult to engage reverse, but VERY positive. I like it - others may not.

    Here's a piccie for you: :)

  2. Ahhh, the trusty wee TRD oil filler cap. Just got one, and looks very nice (ra ra)

    But:

    1. Very expensive for a little bit of billeted steel.

    2. Dont take it off to show your mates after youve been running the car for a while, as it gets really f****n hot. (and no, I am not a rocket scientist)

    3. Bloody TRD wording faces backwards when screwed down (this one really pisses me off!!!).

    :lol::lol::lol:

3 VERY true points - very well made...... :D

  3. The TTE S/C is a nice and easy bolt on option with good power gains for the money.

Adding 32% more power, and 27% more torque to the IS200, the bolt-on supercharger kit will transform the baby Lexus into the car it should have been.

    Increase in power approx: 36.8Kw

    Increase in Torque approx: 50Nm

Improved accleration: 0-100km/h by 2.2 secs

Improved accleration: 40-120km/h by 3.2 secs

Improved accleration: 40-160km/h by 7.9 secs

  4. Good idea, we have something similar on the UK forum - so I'll kick off..... :D

Minor mods can be viewed in my garage below.... spent far too much...

  5. I've just got factory shocks with King lowering springs and strangely enough its alot better with four people in the car, with myself it rolls and isnt to good at handling around corners, its alright unless you push it real hard where you could possible ge in trouble, so with anti roll bars, is there just front and rear "zee007" and would cusco be a good option?

    ....Hayden

    Hayden,

The uprated anti-rolls are indeed for the front and rear (they come as a pair). The standard anti-rolls are hollow, thin and generally "flexible". Thus, the uprated ones are heavier, thicker and reduce roll considerably. Cusco are an excellent brand - I know Eibach do them too...

    Cheers

    Zee

  6. I have standard Shocks but Eibach Lowering springs at the moment. I have ordered and will be getting fitted TTE (Toyota Team Europe) Coilovers in Germany at the beginning of March (Driving over!).

Remember, if you want an improvement in handling, consider uprated anti-roll bars too - not too expensive but a HUGE improvement in handling.......
