  1. maybe or maybe not.

but they sell products for motor vehicles.. namely, ABE 1kg and 2kg extinguishers

what concerned me was they didnt know maintenance requirements for them. to be able to manufacture and sell these things you need to pass certain standards saftey codes

  2. made quick calls to sydneyfire protection, bettafire, and deanmac about an ABE 1kg unit. these companies sell fire protection type services and products.

none of them could complete all my q's:

    1) dimensions w/ bracket

    2) how is this mounted to the interior of the car

    3) maintanence of the extinguisher for compliance

only answer i can get is that the 1kg unit is 335mm long. thats it!

can anyone shed some light w/ some info?

  3. great to point that out keith. yes so for normal street in sydney roads, the lower than normal spring rates given by tein (for example), it is best to go for a much lower spring rate.

however, reading that article, there is uneven weigh distribution between the front and back compared to the rs200 with the is300's; and is200's would be the same.

now tein has spring rates for their coils for the is300, and i assume (without emailing tein) have adjusted their spring rates according to the rs200 because of the uneven weight distribution.

so having said that 5kgf/mm front and rear may not be completely optimal (as the fronts need to have a higher spring rate). the mech who quoted 5 all round has vast experience in rs200's so would be familiar with the rs200s even weight distribution. and it makes sense now why he quoted 5 all around.

ill let him know the is200's weight distrubtion (after some research) and he should be able to recommend a higher spring rate for the fronts for the is200.

    thanks for that keith!

  4. stocks will be allowed and are more than welcome.. don't worry. as what matt explained.. it is a club cruise shoot.

as for numbers, don't be too worried.. we will get more than enough by the time the cruise shoot time/date has been allocated by the photographers for speed ;)

quote unquote from the staff writers at speed..

They don't all have to be blown or really crazy, just nicely presented (washed, cleaned, etc). If we can get a pack of more than 10 cars, that'd be beaut, 15+ would be really sweet, any more a bonus.
