Sorry guys, my partner checked up and it has been sold. However there is an IS200 on Gumtree for $500. Missing rear end and fuel tank and the front end is shot as is all panels but motor might be worth a gamble.

The car is still on ebay motors as a buy it now or best offer. Was thinking of it myself. Jacking up the number plates etc. Unfortunately it is a stat write-off so can't be registered anywhere. That is why it is so cheap.

I've got a 99 LE auto and the fuel economy varies depending on what octane I use. I am still experimenting but the best so far is shell 95 (non ethanol) which gets around 550 kms. Standard fuel gets about 480 - 530 and I currently have 98 octane (ethanol enhanced) in it and am looking at around 500 km. I find my car runs best on 95 but still slow on hills so I have to turn the aircon off. :-)

Hi all, my IS200 has a problem where you turn the steering wheel but it doesn't straighten up when you accelerate. Has anyone else had this problem, what was it and was it expensive to fix?

Hi,thanks guys the car is dark grey. It also has a carbon fibre steering wheel and a high spoiler.

Hi all, I've just purchased a 1999 IS200 and want to know what the model specification is ie sport, sports luxury etc. The build date is 03/99 and vin is JTDBS182700008756. It has a full spoiler kit came with 16" wheels and a cloth interior. It also has the aluminium pedals and scuff plates. Thanks

Hi everyone. I am now the proud owner of a 1999 IS200 sport in Gunmetal. Bought privately with 152,000 km on the clock. It has the same problems as many of your IS200 have eg: cd player, alarm going off by itself and the steering playing up. Hopefully these will be sorted out in the next few weeks. Jackie
